Very evocative Steve, I wish I could nip down there and see it for real, as it is I still enjoy the trip despite it being later day diesels !

Thank you.

Lightning heads west on a Wolverhampton to Goodrington sands Saturday extra, Meanwhile at smugglers retreat the PWay gang have been busy adding slaters stone walling around the underpass and making up some fence panels these won’t get fixed in place until the track is fixed and ballasted.

Building up layers of paint on the retaining walls. White first then a rough grey, Brown then black. This will be sealed then the grey washes can start. post-5983-0-63156600-1529248503_thumb.jpegpost-5983-0-73639000-1529248525_thumb.jpegpost-5983-0-24970100-1529248575_thumb.jpeg

I’ve been experimenting with a new product, A clear thick gel paint as used in a lot of military modelling dioramas.

It has to be built up in layers and so far this has taken about a week, I only added another coat this morning and it takes a while for it to dry fully clear.

I’m very happy with the results so far.

Light is poor down there in the evening - east facing so in shadow of the cliffs.

Lovely stuff once again Steve showing it off to its full potential.

Unfortunately not! Although that would have been nice !!

This project is as good as done now. Chris Nevard will be here Monday to take a few snaps.

I have a long trek to North Wales tomorrow to collect some models so keep a look out for a few pictures hopefully tomorrow evening once I’m back home.
