Popped into my local Asda in Ashford on the way to the bus, not there yet. I've only been in the hobby for two months and I've only seen the last few issues in stock (didn't have the money for the A2) so I can't vouch for their reliability

I would but have to be in Worcester first thing. Might have to find the nearest Sainsburys at lunchtime.

Hope you have a car. None of our Sainsbury's is central.

No sign in my shop

Same here.

I was just hoping (fingers, etc crossed) that I'd caught the lazy buggins on the hop (there were no staff to ask when I was there, though baskets of kiddymags were around the display stand ready to be put out), so I'd resigned myself to looking in later in the day to see if they'd got their backsides into gear.

Hmmmmmmmmmm......

To be, or not to be.....

Yep - I feel all gloomy Dane today!

Paraphrasing Hamlet's dilemma  (2 options)

BE

1. Put up with annoying stuff

2. Have to deal with it

3. No risk of unknown annoying stuff

NOT BE

1. Get rid of the annoying stuff

2. Don't have to deal with it anymore

3. But high risk of unknown annoying stuff

Then again, perhaps he was thinking of BR shed codes; Bletchley, Nuneaton or Wolverhampton Oxley.......  :jester:

Yes Officer, I'll come quietly.....

"BING-BONG" ;)

Attention Customers awaiting the Brush Type 4 Class 47 Due in the shops Wednesday 19th August. This train appears to be running even later....

It has now been reported running 10 Days down (late) and the due date is now Saturday 29th August.

The Locomotion's arrival, which was reported running aproximately 7 days late, and is now due on Wednesday 9th September, is now anybody's guess, as we just don't know where it is!

(With thanks to Brit70053!)

The link will take you to a YouTube video of some of my GBL "cut and shuts" at work. At some point, I'll make a better copy - this was just an attempt to see if my digital camera would take a half- decent video and how easy it would be to use Moviemaker and then load to YouTube. Apologies for the classis's coming into shot .

The locos are

A4 on Elizabethan, Mallard body, Scotsman tender, Hornby chassis

J38 -converted J39, modified tender on latest Hornby Jinty chassis

K3 - modified cab from SEF, converted to LH drive GN tender, on Bachmann V1/3 chassis

Deltic - on Bachmann chassis

K1/1 - B1 shortened boiler and footplate,,modified K3 cab, modified tender, running on Bachmann V1/3 chassis

V2 - V2 footplate, Triang A3 boiler, A4 cab running on early Bachmann V2 chassis

Royal Scot - running on Bachmann old-style chassis.

Despite the limitations of my modelling and photography, I hope this gives an indication of the potential of these models. I'm sorry to see the series end.

That rather amusing shedcode/Shakesperian offering from Hroth reminded me of a gag I heard many many years ago - "What's the connection between Samantha Fox and Finsbury Park Depot" - they're both 34G!!

What you've got there are the Grapes of Hroth.

Normally the GBL website would be updated today to show the next model in the series. So far no update.

1. Maybe due to the delay to the class 47 the announcement has been delayed.

2. Maybe it's too early and it will be updated later today.

3. Maybe locomotion really is the last.

4. Maybe they are just slow in updating, it's happened in the past.

Answers on a postcard or a sealed down ten pound note.
