Recommended Posts

Would love to help out,but as Dan said, I to have a weekend pass booked for Alley pally,so don't want to rock the boat to much, because one of these times she'll push me out!!!!.

I'm sure you'll cope and there'll be some helping hands there :senile:, i'm sure!!!, this is where a roundy roundy comes into the own!!!!

Will you have it ready for TVNAM?

North Haston is booked to appear at TVNAM

I've just got a mental block at the moment

I'm not sure what to do next

I want a one day show layout that's easy to put up and take down

With the old Haston I could be driving out of the car park 8 minutes after the show closed

This one takes about 30 minutes

I'd suggest Urban, North East - New York Port area. I'd say Brooklyn where there is plenty of opportunity without doing another "Brooklyn 3:00am"... Contemporary too.

Best, Pete.

Peter I'm not really into Urban

It has to be done really well like "Brooklyn 3:00am" to pull in off.

I'm thinking more of an ex Santa Fe BNSF layout with GP30 patched locos somewhere in Kansas

using small tank cars and hoppers

I just need to find a track plan I'm happy with.

Dear Chris,

Back to Carl's site again...

Oh brother, here we go again... ;-)
(I wonder how many layout projects have kicked off with a quote similar to Chris's...)

Happy Modelling,
Aim to Improve,
Prof Klyzlr

PS I'd suggest looking at "Rachel, Georgia" or "Erick, Oklahoma"...
(Hmmm, Erick OK with the recently announced Ath GP9u Topeka cab as the featured motive power???)

Well howzabout a BNSF desert themed layout?

Near Phoenix, for example. Saguaro cactus, Tumbleweeds etc., etc.

Tumbleweed Connection, perhaps?

Best, Pete.

Chris

Seeing North Haston at Sutton Coldfield this weekend I'm really liking the changes that you've made since Warley last year.

I have a NAM itch I really do need to scratch some day soon.

That sounds very cool, Chris. Which town is it being held in?

Best, Pete.

Pete,

it is in Nieder-Roden near Frankfurt am Main - see this Bing-map as well as this link provided by Shortliner last fall.

Quite interesting exhibition this! Modellers from Sweden through Scotland, Luxembourg until Switzerland; local newspaper reports it as the largest US-exhibition in Europe…

Regards

  Armin
