Class 37 Photos...

Recommended Posts

A couple of examples, looking rather sorry for themselves.

Today, at Barrow Hill.

Cheers,

Phil.

Going by the pale blue, is that 37501, formerly "Teesside Steelmaster" in the 2nd pic? I thought it had lost that livery years ago?

Or could it be one of the ones which went to Spain?

It's 37800.

It's actually got White numbers on the cabside and black ones on the nose-end, not that they can be seen too well !

It's in the GIF livery, from its days in Spain.

Cheers,

Phil.

Dingwall on the line north from Inverness where you used to get off the Far North train to catch the following Kyle train to maximise the number of 37's for haulage... Happy Days..

On one of my Flickr photos of Dingwall attracted a comment referring to the 'Achnasheen Bash', which I had never heard of

It was a move to get maximum loco haulage, on the early morning services out of and into Inverness.

cheers
