RMweb Gold 4630 Posted August 7, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 7, 2015 Now 25 years old but still, to my eyes, a stylish looking locomotive - although shame about the current livery - 91122 stands at Leeds station platform 8 on 6th August 2015 ready to depart with 1A28, 11.45 Leeds to London Kings Cross.
Peppercorn
Not a particularly good photo, but this one is from late '63 with class 57XX in what was then typical shunting mode, at Old Oak Common. No. 4611
Peppercorn
Another not very good photo, this time 34082 "615 Squadron" at Eastleigh. Spring or early summer 1966, a horrible, sultry muggy day. Someone's nicked her piston valve by the look of it.

flyingsignalman
Seen today, 20/8/2015, at Llanfair Caereinion station 823, Countess being coaled. Chattenden pulls from the loco shed, visiting loco ###### Baru No5, a Mallet 0-4-4-0T from the Statfold Barn Railway. ###### Baru was left on the loop whilst Chattenden went (presumably) to do another shunt. No11, Ferret in its usual position opposite the signal box. Edited August 20, 2015 by flyingsignalman

Peppercorn
I've always liked the BR class 4 2-6-0's from my first view as a Kitmaster kit, so it was good to see one and travel behind her from Whitby on the excellent NYMR in August. A lovely day.

Powerhaul 70 Pey
Working in Clitheroe and I knew that The Fellsman Special fron Lancaster to Carlisle via the S&C was running today so I found a decent spot at Horrocksford Junction in Clitheroe, Lancashire. Heres 46115 having just passed the Signal box at Horrocksford Junction. And one more shot before the train runs past me and under the road bridge.

RMweb Premium melmerby Posted August 26, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2015 Bridgnorth? Correct Not too long after 70000 arrived there and before any restoration (taken 1969/70 I think) Does have a 30A plate though, so someone must have swapped it as it was at 9D when withdrawn. bike2steam
That 30A 'plate' was painted on. :-)
