Theakerr
Is it just me but i have tried to go to the Hattons pre-owned web page? I have tried several times and always get re-directed to their main page where I cannot find a reference to preowned. Also, when I sent an e-mail to the address given in Model Rail it bounced saying that the address does not exist.
90rob
Not sure about that - do you mean Model Trade . Net? http://www.ehattons.com/Trade/stocklist/results.aspx?searchfield=hymek
Theakerr
I got the address from a Model Rail Magazine ad
brossard
I was wondering about this. I checked the main page the other day but couldn't find anything on pre-owned. I assumed that maybe it hadn't launched yet. John
RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted October 6, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2013 Has anyone actually sold anything to Hattons for their preowned venture? How did it work out? I have a number of items which I was going to list on a well known site in dribs and drabs but a possible house move means I'd rather now sell in a few larger lots. Nothing exotic, just various Bachmann, Hornby, Airfix, Lima items which should 'wipe their feet' as they say.
ScRSG
Have seen the adverts etc. asking for Hatton's to buy collections etc., but when and where are they going to sell the stuff????
BR(S)
Have seen the adverts etc. asking for Hatton's to buy collections etc., but when and where are they going to sell the stuff???? Looks like it's on their own website: http://www.ehattons....tockDetail.aspx They appear on the main New Releases page.
Theakerr
Now how did you find your way to this. I have gone back to the main web page and cannot see a link. I sure hope one doesn't have to go through the list of "bargains" every time!
BR(S)
I look at the New Releases section a few times a week to see what's new. They seem to be listing them in there as they get them and the items appear in their relevant sections, such as Bachmann UK EMUs: http://www.ehattons.com/stocklist/new.aspx
ScRSG
Have had a look, but difficult to find new (sic) second hand items, feel Hattons should have a section dedicated to pre-owned sales.
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted October 12, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) my curiosity was sparked by the discussion so I had a little look. Strikes me there are two ways to find the Pre-owned stuff: Search for the item you want e.g. Bachmann EMU and the site will present you with new and Pre-owned items side by side based on your search Put just the phrase Pre-owned (exactly, this matches their own wording) into the search box on the home page and you get all (3) of their pre-owned items. Theakerr
Hi Colin, just tried Pre-owned and only got one item. Edited October 12, 2013 by Theakerr

NickL2008
They want £115 for 60026 in EWS as much as I like Hornbys' 60, bit too steep! NL
ScRSG
Can't be having much luck in acquiring collections if they only have 1 - 3 items for sale. Justify two page adverts in the model press?
TangerineWizards
I popped in to the shop the other day. Picked up a pre-owned skaledale building and they had a lot of boxes of Hornby, Bachmann and Heljan etc waiting to be listed online. Be patient I think and they will come

You got me all excited there Rob - sadly most of the Hattons Spams are Merchant Navy types - I prefer the baby Spams in original Airsmoothed casing. Will be interesting to see if they do sell at £110... there does seem to be a Spam drought on that there eBay and I do wonder if a minor cull of the 4mm ones could fund a 7mm version!
truffy
Interesting. I wonder what the buy-rate is? Couldn't find details easily on their site. I'm casually interested in selling some surplus stock, and an upcoming trip to NE England might be preferable to flea-bay.
