RMweb Gold griffgriff Posted April 12, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 12, 2014 The linked picture is at Salisbury, you can see an exhibition coach in the 'depot' behind the station wall. Silly me Yep platform 4... Is that Dave Mann's site does anyone know? It's a long time since I've seen him and I can't quite tell from the profile picture. Pete 75C
Nice shots! - thanks again to all of you. On a loosely connected note, does anyone know how long 33105 survived with the white cab window surrounds before a repaint? I have my eye on the Heljan model and would just like to know if it would still have been like this in the late 80s. Thanks, Pete.

jonny777
This should narrow it down a bit, for the repaint date - because this was Clapham Junction on 3rd July 1984
Pete 75C
Thanks to both of you. I had hoped to run 33105 with the white cab window surrounds alongside some NSE liveried stock circa 1986-1988. In fact I still will... that useful get out of jail card "modellers license" will have to be played!

Steve-e
Starting to run out of 33 photos to post I quite like this one it was my 1st 33 for haulage from Crewe to Shrewsbury sometime in 1984 I think. 33028 Shrewsbury with 08473 even managed to get my bag in the shot (bottom left) I couldn't afford a Head or Adidas bag at the time that was to come later on my bashing trips . Date was sometime around 1986. Seen here backing the stock in. 33109 with Windsor Castle in the background. Cheers Steve

South of 1E
33109 at Kenny O on 030793 with a charter from Bedford to Alton. We were a bit worried when the 33 was shut down for the naming ceremony here (named Captain Bill Smith but she restarted no problem all good fun NR http://www.leightonlogs.org Edited October 29, 2014 by South of 1E
Steadfast
They 33s are hardly my most photographed locos, but here's what I have got. 33207 passes Pilning working 5Z72 Bishops Lydeard - Carnforth with Tangmere in tow, which was being taken for Carnforth for some work to be undertaken 8/9/11 33029 speeds along the Down Main at Milton working 5Z36 Southall - Bristol Kingsland Road. This moves the empty stock to Bristol for the Sunday steam special to Weymouth and a 33 in place of the regular class 47 was a welcome bonus. It has also had a repaint recently, so despite the dark livery looked smart at the head of the eight mk1s 26/7/14 33029 passes Wootton Bassett Jn working 5Z37 Bristol Kingsland Road - Southall 28/7/14 jo

RMweb Gold The Pilotman Posted November 11, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 11, 2014 Great photos. The one at Westbury is 6V96, the Tonbridge to Meldon Quarry ballast empties which invariably was a pair of 33s.
