Catkins
I get the feeling that "Sir Edward Elgar" is no more. I am pleased that D407 is still extant, how long before it gets some mainline work?

RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted March 26, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 26, 2014 Reviled? Is it that bad? Perhaps, if that limey green colour in the top left corner of the OP's photo is part of the colour scheme.
woodenhead
It's been turned into a 50/2 and will be numbered 50207. They got sponsorship from a major vacuum manufacturer allowing a full engine replacement. It's now going to be known as a Dyson and it will be renamed Cyclone. RMweb Gold big jim Posted March 26, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2014 Look's like the right colour for a 'hoover' https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSUYSixdE9Mai8KJ7Hs9o7zpPtBwLYFGtYObAhuR4Q6Yv-H6cqRwA no, its the wrong shade of blue at the top, should be more of a french blue! i did wonder what the partly painted yellow/orange and black loco was inside the paint booth at washwood heath was when i went there last week, i thought it was a colas 47 as it was masked up (and i was looking through a poly tunnel) but it must have been 50007, i didnt really give it a 2nd glance to be honest as i see that livery everyday! surfsup
no, thats in kidderminster i think Not at the moment, last time I know of it's whereabouts is that it's in Eastleigh Works receiving maintenance along with 2? other 50s.
Andy M
Hood, Ark Royal and Exeter are all away from the SVR at the moment and I'm sure they have used Washwood Heath in the past for the Class 20's. Eastleigh would be a more likely destination for work on the 50's admittedly. Regards, Andy.

Ray M
Thats Good news. But they have still got the number wrong ? it should have a 4 at the start of the 3 numerals, and a D in front of them. Lets also get rid of the nameplates.
