I always thought 215 looked very odd with high level marker lights. 

Looked a bit better after refurbishment hen they moved them to same place as ex disc ones

The first one in the lower shot seems to have some home made sealer applied to the end doors.

The yellow extended overthe  cabsides, was this standard for the WR 31;s. How long  did this variation last on the WR?

It was only 31135 that had this. Not sure how long it lasted like that

It was done at Old Oak i nearly '82 and lasted a few years, not sure exactly how long though.

Great picture, unusual to see what looks like a 101 so early in norfolk at this time most units were Derby lightweights or 79xxx met cams

When I came across the photo recently it made me think of a long forgotten 'layout of the month' from Railway Modeller ;)

Hunstanton would make a good model,  I did consider basing the station on my layout on it but went for a scaled down Norwich instead

It was certainly still that way in July 1984, I photographed it at Nuneaton.
