I'm a GW South Wales man personally, but that's just ferroequinous porn, mate.  Isn't she pretty?

Well put Jonners.

The beauty of this is simply 734/735 were the two Terriers bought by the L&SWR from LB&SCR for the opening of the Lamb Regis branch.

Two of these and one could do a pre-grouping version of Mutton in O gauge......oh dear!.

You want to do this, but then again, you don't!

Quite. I would love a pre grouping layout and this would be a reasonably straight forward start to this but........

The scenic section would be seven foot......

No concrete platform facings...all wood....signals......salmon and brown coaches.....no long grass....mmmmmm

That is Combpyne, which was the inspiration behind Mutton, when first built. Lyme Regis branch, 1903ish?

Rob

In terms of the 'slippery slope', I bought some wood for my 'O' gauge test track today and have been in the shed this afternoon, cutting things to size and gluing a 'buffer stop' at each end. It's only a yard in length, but it's to enable me to check how any 7mm locos are running.

That's why I have avoided any purchase of an O gauge wagon....

A length of track wouldn’t do any harm, though?

You're not helping........
