You'll find them at Ikea, but in their catalogues they have long been mislabelled as tables or shelves - you'd think a company that big could correctly label their model railway products. It's lucky us modellers are a forgiving lot, unless it is a dodgy font, a wonky number, a misaligned lamp iron or only being available at 85% of RRP. 2 1

Popping a slight tweak in the running lines adds a little something in my humble opinion. In addition, thanks to some very welcome intervention, I am moving away from my usual small radius points and gravitating to medium radius......... Ongoing... Rob. Nearly finished now then isn't it. 2 2

This is true and in terms of quality of model, it's every bit as good as the Rapido one, if not perhaps a bit better, in my opinion, but they are big hulking brutes of locos and possibly not quite 'the thing' for a discerning, quality gentleman's goods yard. Never mind the Pannier, would "The Company" really build the yard forman's house with the bay window of the "best room" / lounge/ dining room looking out on the incumbent's place of work since he is a discerning, quality gentleman as stated by a highly knowledgeable member of this parish? It would however give the forman a splendid view of all those boys trespassing, hoping for a cab ride!

RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted July 10, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 10, 2021 Oh, I'm really not sure about saying this....but the three buildings on the right in your proposal being all parallel just don't look right to me. Sorry. Two, yes - either side of the entry track is a good look, but the three for some reason, don't gel with me. Does one need turning sideways or something? Like that Welsh colliery? 1

Hi Neil, I take it you mean the three in the middle right, three small buildings? If so, I agree, its not right. I've left as is for now. It'll come to me...... RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted July 13, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) Afternoon all. It appears that following a most gracious unsolicited approach from a mysterious benefactor, I have, at very reasonable rates, acquired sufficient peco electrotoad points to facilitate commencement of the building, in the first part, of the next little layout. Plain track to be purchased but I seem to need no more than two lengths of same so this is looking like quite the frugal build, thus far. This might not take too long after all. I feel quite that most rapid of erections coming on. I thank you. Edited July 13, 2021 by NHY 581 Over excited and felt sick. 11 2 7

Evening CK. Track is confirmed to be flat behind. I have arrived at what I think is the definative track layout. Fairly basic but some fun offered. Once I have picked up the plain track, I shall set about this properly. Standard Sheep Operating Procedure will be adopted. Track down and wire up. Play. Backscene boards Play DAS ground level and imprint of buildings whilst wet Play Paint track bed and ground cover Play Paint and weather track Play Ballast Play Static grass etc Play More static grass Play Paint and weather buildings if not already done. Play Add buildings Play Details( loading gauge signage etc) Play Play Play Exhibit Play... Seems straight forward really. 11 1 6 6
