There was that chap in the Middle East about two thousand years ago ( when it was Hornby Dublo 3 rail or nothing) kept banging on about the good shepherd and leading the lambs along the righteous path... And look what they did to him, just for eating a bag of pork scratchings in a Tuesday.
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted March 4, 2023 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 4, 2023 Morning all, Does anyone know if anyone makes a nice little bell such as those fitted to the 1366 Panniers that waddled about Weymouth Quay and in particular, a few of the 03 shunters that frequented Swansea and bits of the West Country, including Weymouth. ( I'm unable to credit the photographers for the above) Heljan included one in the detail pack for their 1366 but it's not available and it looks like Rapido don't offer one as a spare for their J70. Any pointers would be helpful. Rob 5

Flying Fox 34F
Rob, I wonder if Bachmann may have anything suitable from one of their early period American locos? Failing that, you could try a model shop that sells components for model ships. Paul

They may well do the job once the frame is removed and at a good price as well. I'll give them a ring on Monday rather than order online. I'm struggling with the notion of paying £4.50 postage for something that costs less than half of that and is in any case, a very small item. But a good find and hopefully a chat will sort it out. RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted March 9, 2023 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 9, 2023 Morning all, My contributions are a bit haphazard as of late. The pup continues in his quest for house domination and subjugation of it's occupants. However, in what was a huge step, last Sunday night saw me withdrawing from the sofa and sleeping in a bed for the first time since his arrival two weeks prior. He actually not too bad now at night. He'll go down at 10ish then wake once in the night, roughly between half two and half three when I'll let him out for a comfort break, then up at half five to six. During the day, he's roughly an hour on, hour off. Modelling wise.......zip. I managed to attend at the Room of Doom yesterday but only to locate a book or two. RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted March 9, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) Somewhere....somewhere...I have a big box full of Detail Associates parts given to me by a late NMRA member here, amongst which just may be a bell. Give me a wee while (as in - tomorrow) to brave going down the garage, wonder were the box may be, find it and dig through! You're welcome to any goody bell I may find, gratis free and for nothing. RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted March 9, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 9, 2023 Just had a thought about a box of bits, so donned snow shoes and made it to the garage. (Two snowflakes here) Turned out to be a box of Kadee couplers, so the detail bits box must be in the garage loft - needs a dry day to get the bikes out and use stepladders to look in there, sorry. Not getting the bikes wet....5 to clean doesn't appeal. getting a bit full in there. 15
