Any news on splasher lining?

Last bit my 2P needs before I finish the details.

Well, I know we have a parallel PM thread going on this but as it's spilled into the public thread, it will perhaps help illuminate the wider audience on similar outstanding requests for help. 1 specialist : 1000+ modellers asking for a very specific set of skills to research, design, test and produce an extremely niche product = when it's fully baked, it'll appear on the web site. I spend pretty much all day every day doing as much as I possibly can but inevitably it's just a physical impossibility to be able to knock everything out as quickly as I'd like, at least if you want decent product. I do get there though, but projects do benefit from solid uninterrupted resource where feasible to achieve maximum efficiency. I'm sure it will materialise in due course.

Don't worry i am patient and prepared to wait,  the transfers are good, easier to use than pressfix or mm.

Was just curious.

Have i said your br blue lining is better value than mm?

Hi Steve

I've accidentally weathered off the Data panels to my Accurascale RFD 92022. I can see the versions for the Caledonian sleeper and DB on your website but not a complete set for a RFD 92 - black data panels ( I have recently bought the RFD logos from you).

on another issue can you print custom transfers for me that i have designed and are ready to go?

Cheers

Dave

Sorry Dave, only just seen this. Hm, those elongated cl 92 data panels (at least in RfD livery when they were plain black as opposed to black on white) aren't in any off-the-shelf pack at the minute. I do have the artwork on file though. Probably best way forward with this one is just a very small/easy custom run. I'll PM you.

Steve,

Is there a problem with your website?  It doesn’t seem to want to open/respond quickly - takes about 4 minutes to open and similar times to navigate to the pages you seek.

It works eventually up to the delivery option and then crashes.

Yeah it seemed to be coughing up a fur ball for ~20 mins on/off although it seems zippy again now. Those errors you see are it trying to connect to the db. I think the guys bounced the server and it's all good. Almost in time for the footie having finished.

Hi, a quick question about Rivet Transfers (ordered yesterday, arrived this morning, amazing!)

I note they are best on a glossy surface, can they be applied to bare metal?  Clean brass, fairly shiny.

Many thanks,

Dave.

Wouldn' recommend it - especially if you like to apply an initial coat of self-etch primer.

Get to the stage where you're about to apply the finish coats; apply some gloss varnish; apply the rivet transfers; another coat of varnish; and then carry on with the finish coat.

Just an email warning, Steves google email address is bouncing some emails, my own domain for a start.

I got through with BT Internet.

If it's bouncing back with emails being sent from a specific domain but getting through from the likes of BT, then that may suggest there's a potential security loop which may need tightening up on your outgoing SMTP server, particularly if something like Gmail is now(?) rejecting them. I can't say I've noticed any drop in the volume of inbound comms (that isn't to say that some aren't getting through), but I'm still getting inundated.

Whilst I'm here and on the topic, a number of folks with btinternet.com email addresses seem to have issues receiving email from Gmail. It appears to be a reasonably well reported issue but it would seem the entire gmail.com domain has been added to the blocked list of those with a btinternet.com email address without them knowing.

It may not be related but the inbox does get hammered day and night with people sending huge attachments and consequently is constantly teetering either side of being full, which is a job in itself to manage.

Hi Steve just checked online my BT account, nothing in spam, received earlier at 15:35 about the DMU numbers.

So my ISP account looks fine.

Phew

To be honest I ascii art stuff due to your email box issues, as I do not want to fill it up!

I do hope to be ordering a few wagons later just simple panel and tare jobs.

Can't find these anywhere, so;

Any chance of any 3d transfers for wagon builders plates, generic Bxxxxxx with a clear B and "smudged" numbers would suffice, unless specific numbers would be a possibility.

I'll take 100 to be going on with.

Mike.

Not something I'd considered although (a) I've done them in larger scales and therefore (b) already have the artwork so potentially very easy to make it available as a customisable item on the web site. What scale? If 7mm then I'm pretty confident folks would want specific numbers. If 4mm then potentially not? Obviously specific numbers would be more expensive than a pack of realistic-ish numbers available as an off-the-shelf item.

Just one observation - with the real thing, and from normal viewing distance, it was difficult to see where the numberplate was located, let alone read it.

On the few 4mm. scale wagons where I have printed and applied white on black numberplate transfers, they stand out too prominently unless weathered to the point of near-invisibility!

I have ordered transfers now for a couple of my MR cross WR collection.

My 2P was the first bit,  next is a 3 car GWR DMU in green and a 6 car Swindon inter city in green.

Got a 044T to work out details for next.

For br blue modellers the coach sets are brilliant as are custom loco sets, the Inter-City are also good.
