  1. Thanks; I should have covered that. Yes, all the parking is free on site.
  2. No server problems observed today so it's likely to be a path/connection issue.
  3. I'll try and replicate that tomorrow. Thanks Dave.
  4. Sorry, but I need to do this as a point of explanation - taking the N class image used SEMGonline it would still be appropriate to seek their consent for hotlink as you are effectively incurring a cost to them for their site server bandwidth. In such instances it is kinder to them to just provide a hyperlink to the image or page if you don't wish to commit to seeking consent for hotlinking. It's enough of a problem with other sites using content from here without our members doing so. I try to promote us as having a better approach to such matters.
  5. It may be a hangover from work during the week. Try clearing your site cookies, refresh the page and login again.
  6. Can I ask if you have sought permission to hotlink the images from another site (and whether copyright is applicable)? At very least source credit should be made.
  7. Sounds like a browser issue - try https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/shows/show/the-national-festival-of-railway-modelling/exhibitors
  8. Have a chat with them directly rather than taking to the internet to display your capacity to grumble about individual layouts as you make your way around the show. Alternatively tell us about all the ones that are running well that you haven't mentioned between any that may have an issue.
  9. If there had have been it would have been posted in the update.
  10. If there was any doubt over whether the show's good for the wider hobby anyone who attended Warley this weekend would have been able to see the evidence of the level of interest the exhibits found. Many times when I passed the layouts there were families and youngsters keen to see the models and modellers in the flesh. Flinty has been elevated to celebrity status and it was smashing to see a young lad tentatively approaching Kathy to see if he could get an autograph. I think Kathy was a bit chuffed that it was the first time she'd been asked. Everyone involved in the programme has achieved something rather special.
  11. And a fine array of Farish Mk2F coaches.
  12. The 8F looks magnificent, some very fine separately fitted detail.
  13. Significant EP samples displayed within the Collectors' Club area of the Bachmann stand this weekend included the Class 159.
  14. Response from Locomotionmodels.com Having had a busy day at the Warley exhibition it is naturally disappointing in a day of many positives to find a post to bring us crashing back to earth! You will appreciate that I have only been in post a couple of days and I do not yet have a Locomotion email address or I would suggest that Ossy5190 contacts me directly. I have, however, asked for the problem to be investigated and for Locomotionmodels to get back to him on Monday. I hope to be able to offer more positive communication with members of RM Web in future once I have access to the network. We are in the process of setting this up but please appreciate that it may be a couple of weeks before both Rich and are up fully up to speed with the operation (Rich does not arrive until 3rd December). On a more positive note thanks to all those who dropped by the Locomotionmodels stand (D113) to say hello and provide feedback on what we have produced so far and what they would like to see in future. We look forward to meeting more of you tomorrow. Dennis Lovett Exclusive Models Marketing Executive Locomotionmodels
  15. Well, I can confirm one thing that it won't be. With some self-effacing Irish linguistic humour Fran told me last night there's no way he could announce a Class Tirty Tree as their first UK loco. There will be an unveiling ceremony on the stand at 10.30 if you want to see what it really is. There will be a follow-on surprise 15 mins later too.
  16. I politely told you the reasons after you asked so don't play the martyr.
  17. DELTIC MODELS TO BE PRODUCED FOR LOCOMOTIONMODELS, RAILS LIMITED AND DELTIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY The announcement by Accurascale that they are to produce an OO Scale Class 55 ‘Deltic’ locomotive has enabled Locomotionmodels, Rails Limited and The Deltic Preservation Society to work together to announce a range of exclusive models that will be jointly marketed by all three organisations. These models are expected to be released in late 2019 and were announced earlier today at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition. The following versions will be produced; 1 – 55015 ‘Tulyar’ in 1980’s BR blue livery with the distinctive Finsbury park white cab (Era 7) 2 – D9019 ‘Royal Highland Fusilier’ BR two tone green as running post 1965 (Era 5) 3 – D9009 ‘Alycidon’ in BR blue livery with pre-TOPS number for mainline running, high-intensity headlight, GPS pods, etc. as currently operating on the main line (Era 9) 4 - D9002 ‘Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry’ in two tone green livery as currently preserved and running on the National Network (Era 9). 5 - D9002 ‘Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry’ in two tone green 1980 with full yellow ends as repainted for its final thirteen months in traffic before withdrawal on 31st December 1981. The repaint into its colours was paid for with the aid of a grant from the Friends of the National Railway Museum (Era 7). 6 - D9008 ‘The Green Howards’ in ex-works green livery without yellow warning panel and without name as delivered in July 1961. Central BR Totem, plain sides. no vents etc (optional name plates will be provided in the box to be affixed if required) The locomotive was not named until 30th September 1963. (Era 5) Tom Mackie, Group Retail Operations Manager for the Science Museum Group said, “We are delighted to work in partnership with Accurascale, our retail partner Rails Limited and The Deltic Preservation Society to include two versions of the Railway Museum’s own Deltic as part of an exciting package of exclusive models produced for the three organisations”. Brian Greenwood, Chairman of Rails Limited said “This is another significant announcement which further extends the rapidly growing Rails Limited Edition portfolio by working with our now well-established partners at the Railway Museum and the Deltic Preservation Society. We are delighted to be working with yet another quality manufacturer in Accurascale who we are certain are going to deliver an exciting and new dimension to the ever popular Deltic story. The models we have selected all form a significant part of the story of preservation of this iconic locomotive class and represent, in miniature, a glimpse of its evolution over the last nearly 60 years since it was first delivered in 1961. We present both the earliest and very latest in this new model.” Darrell Marsh of the Deltic Preservation Society said “The Deltic Preservation Society are delighted to be working with Locomotionmodels, Rails of Sheffield and Accurascale on this exciting project to produce a highly detailed range of Deltic models including the three DPS owned locomotives”. Fran Burke Public Relations and Marketing Director, Accurascale said “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Locomotionmodels, Rails Limited and The Deltic Preservation Society and we’re excited to make them a part of our first Accurascale locomotive launch. As enthusiasts we’re always keen to support our railway heritage where we can. The DPS was instrumental in the development of this model and we hope that the funds generated by these exclusive models help fill their coffers to keep these beasts running for many years to come. We’re also keen to keep contributing to the national collection and we’re delighted to be working with Locomotionmodels and the fantastic team at Rails Limited once again. This project allows us to provide a model of all 22 class members in conjunction with our own range, covering a variety of eras and specific detail differences, which is truly exciting for all us Deltic fans!” Individual models are expected to retail at £160. Several special packs are also under consideration featuring these models along with sound options. Further pre-order information will appear from each of the three partners in due course.
  18. I'm sorry Dave but I think it only right to try and address these comments. Brian is one of the life's gentlemen and he's responded fairly. He, supported by the team, has invested a lot of time and care in the production and promotion of the poll content with no expectation of any reward other than producing something of interest to the modelling community. Your comments above seem to disregard that and infer that the team *should* be doing something that you want. Let me turn it around and ask how you would feel if you did something voluntarily but were criticised for your approach whilst you had got far more pressing and important personal circumstances? I think the answer to that lies in the fact you're already washing your hands of committing any efforts to moving the concept of an industrial specific forward. I think Corbs is being a lot more pragmatic and understanding that it does involve time and effort; that's fine and anyone can make a call whether they wish to do such things but it's quite upsetting (when I know the circumstances) to see someone lambasted for not doing what you want them to do.
