Kim took me to Corfe / Swanage today for my birthday treat. Steam, fish and chips and a walk on the beach with the dogs. Now at home in front of the wood burner with a large G&T, pretty much perfect day really!
-
Off to our neighbours for a Burns supper shortly. Haggis, neeps and tatties, and whiskey of course! Tonight we shall be mostly drinking Jura :-)

Eldest son completed his Masters and offered a job all in the space of a few days - thrilled for him. Looks like two of our four kids living at home is going to become one in the next month or so.

New Bond film followed by a curry for wife Kim's birthday last night - you cant buy class!
No spoilers but classic Bond, great stunts and car chases, humour and pathos and the bad guy has his own island - what's not to like!!

New David Bowie single and home made burger and chips for tea. All I need now are some Hydraulics at my local station and it could be 1973 all over again!
-
Christmas tree has been up around six hours and cats have already trashed it. They particularly like the little red balls with the bells in!
-
A good stomp from Twinhoe to Tucking Mill via Midford with the dogs followed by chopping a huge pile of wood ready for winter. Good day.

Cooking a curry and listening to After the Goldrush - hot and loud - must be Friday !

Hey, that's my fave NY track too! Have a listen to his latest album 'Americana' - a return to a 1975 sound - brilliant! Full album on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_71FA0V-P0&list=PL01CFFB6D3C40A50F&index=42&feature=plpp_video

Went to see Grease last night with Dave from the Gascupboard. Our better halves told us off for over-enthusiastic boogeying. Just like the first time we went to see it in 1978.....we were 14 then though!
-
Should have been at the Wigan show this weekend but sadly had to pull out due to Kim going in to hospital. The op was a great success and she's now enjoying six weeks r & r! I hope everyone has a great time at the show, we'll be there next year

Just got back from the dentist to find a speeding fine has been delivered - 36 in a 30 limit. Had better days!
-
Hacked off with RMWeb at the moment. Last time I felt like this I ended up on the naughty step, think I'll just withdraw for a while this time.
-
If you want to see a very happy model shop owner then pop in and see Dave at the Gascupboard in Trowbridge next week. Bristol Rovers back in the League at the first time of asking.
-
Managed to get a wapping great splinter in the tip of my finger today which snapped off inside Spent the evening in minor injuries unit. Had to have have finger numbed and tip dug out to get at little blighter. Put paid to modelling for next few days - just perfect with Expo EM this weekend and Railex the next. Feeling a bit sorry for myself .
-
Just got back from the Mendip group and found my neighbour has hung a brace of pheasant outside my back door
-
Swelling on finger gone down and managed to get my wedding ring back on so off to the workshop for a couple of hours. Can't do anything at the bench but can start to get stuff paced up for the weekend.
-
Kim has just rebuilt the Christmas tree for the second time after the kitten had trashed it. Very entertaining but Kim not impressed!
-
Just settling down for a couple of hours of TMS before heading off to bed. Hoping England can polish off the Aussies first innings before I'm forced to turn in
-
Getting ready to watch Glastonbury on telly for the first time. Not sure how I'm going to feel about it - got used to going over the last thirty years.
-
Just getting Tucking Mill ready to take from the workshop to the Gascupboard, pleased to see its horizontal rain outside!
-
Of to the little show in Westbury Wilts today. Found out last night that the late Denys Brownlee's Burnham on Sea will be there - will take the camera.
-
Off for a day out at the Dorset steam fair shortly. Reports are muddy under foot but sun in the sky all day -hoorah!!
-
Rumour has it that its not going to rain on sunday. Going to make a dash for the WSR and have fish and chips in the Driftwood cafe at Blue Anchor.
-
Getting the camper van ready to head off to Cornwall in the morning. Hoping that the sound of rain beating down on the roof will inspire me to get a couple of articles I have been threatening to finish done!
