  1. I have been in touch and he's alive but a tad busy with real life...I think its fair to say that yesterday he was still working from the day before......
  2. The chocks need careful handling - a couple of mine were broken in the packet but I only needed 8
  3. ScaleModel Scenery straps and the T4U chocks https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/ax031-oo-ratchet-straps-orange-pack-of-94-oo4mm176-1340-p.asp
  4. and out and about today...reportedly https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:K01035/2021-08-26/detailed
  5. Still doing the business... Blue Boys Pathfinder Tour a few weeks ago..
  6. My KFA has had a very light dusting of weathering. Chris
  7. It should be the visible screw at rear and one under the front NEM pocket Dave Chris
  8. Today was Mick's funeral and his local modelling friends, a number of us from Missenden, as well as others who he knew from the exhibition circuit joined with his family to celebrate Mick's life . His role as a friend and teacher to many was to the fore and the tributes he has received here and elsewhere were explicitly mentioned in the address. He will be very sadly missed. As a sign off and by way of lightening the mood I offer this picture of a younger version of Mick with a very different type of "gun" - the photo was kindly provided by one of his brothers... 9. From the look I agree - very subtle tones. I've used them on my two most recent projects. Chris
  10. This is particularly poignant. My weathering "guru" the late Mick Bonwick used my coach as a "fading" demo at Missenden then I finished it off..
  11. The most recent Missenden weekend (that actually happened at Missenden) was a splendid few days.
  12. I have recently fired up the airbrush and dusted off the spray booth..some recent work - some of it is "in progress" This has already been posted in the Trains4U thread
  13. Thank you - appreciated - but building a Series 1 boxed Airfix Scorpion/Scimitar was a real blast of nostalgia! I had a "doh" moment when I had everything ready to load up then realised I needed to weather the **** thing...FWIW the bogies particularly respond well to weathering..
  14. Reviews can be useful sometimes - I've just been looking at spray booths and at least one review of the one I was looking at ( out of interest - not to buy) was clear that in use the booth did not appear "strong enough" to achieve the advertised 4m2 per minute - which is not just nice to have but essential to your health and well-being.. Chris
