  1. I may be wrong of course but experience suggests SLW will update us as soon as they have any news...
  2. Cheers Rob - I'm about to use a SMS (77L RUB) board for a small rural branch but its only 110cm which makes a big difference. I do want a two coach long loop which rather dictates the design. It will have 55cm fiddle yard at each end.
  3. I sometimes use a DC input to the track with the DCC feed removed (easy in the rear of an NCE PCP pane)l as a multimeter will give a -/+ indication which can also help diagnose problems..
  4. Trackpower? May not be relevant if you have metal fishplates. Otherwise is it possible the wire inputs to the point motor switch have got crossed? They certainly go to different inputs in the photo?
  5. Is it the whole point, a particular rail or just the frog?
  6. With any solution its best to apply in baby steps and let the solution do the work. I've found with Microscale US decals I can sometimes encourage the decal onto detail by using a small piece of foam and pressure but I find most other makes are a lot more unforgiving...
  7. Morning Rob My approach in simple terms for waterslide or press fix decals is as follows: Gloss surface Setting solution such as Microsol/Microset - although others are available (MIG Decalset) Careful application of matt varnish pre-weathering Chris
  8. I do like a shunting puzzle - makes life a little more interesting at shows as well...
  9. Yes ( IIRC) and yes ...58s are the "scale" coupler but are less reliable in use on any sort of uneven surface ( i.e. a dodgy exhibition layout). I'm part of an HO group with an exhibition layout and we are not keen on 58s
