  1. This photo of Midford shows the type of fence I've tried to re-produce at the front:
  2. I faked a fence with just uprights - using the S&D type that appear in many photos with substantial posts (?concrete) with two thin metal uprights in each gap. I then just attached the hedges (horsehair with scatter) by eye and use da bit of PVA. This photo - stolen from a Facebook page posted by Stephen Brooks shows the type with one upright in each gap but it shows what I'm on about - even if this is GWR with S&D above!
  3. Thanks for the kind words. Tufts are certainly a useful addition to our scenic portfolio. In terms of TB I plan to add some hedges running along the wire fence as well to soften things visually... ChrisH

  7. I'm working on the assumption you are still drugged up to the eye balls and should therefore be treated with caution.....to say the least...
  8. Bizarre - I did not know that a "Timsbury Bottom" really existed..the same thing happened with Penmaenbach - I wanted something to reflect the area around Penmaenmawr and then blow me a real world Penmaenbach turns up...Thanks - cracking photo and info. My TB will be post PO wagons but Rule 1 may come into play... Chris H

  10. Sorry - I've answered my own question you need Code 100. Chris
  11. It is indeed Lawrence Hill. A decent location for photography these days...and the Lidl does a decent lunch sized pizza for 99p...
  12. I've started so I'll finish..here are a few more LSL kettles...
  13. I assume these locos counts as "preserved". This was a Steam Dreams trip to Bath turning the whole ECS train on the triangle junction at Bristol before servicing at Bristol East......
  14. If I know NHS Wales it will be before they have to give you lunch....just saying. and as previously said by El Capitano..best for the op...
  15. This seems to be the accepted wisdom.... DCC ready means that the loco is designed to be fitted with a DCC chip. At the factory a small piece of circuitry is added to the loco with a socket that enables you to insert a DCC decoder to convert the engine from analogue to DCC.
