  1. Not a complaint but strange not to see Northern Belle class 57312 on the list given DRS 57302 is due April? It has also disappeared of Bachmann's website. Maybe it has already arrived at Barwell?
  2. "Sorry, but I am genuinely concerned for you if you have firstly, had the time to compile such a list and secondly, worry about it?!" Now who has too much time on their hands??
  3. I was thinking the same. To add to this, as the weathered 85 does not feature in the recently released 2019 Bachmann schedule does that mean the RRP is due another hike this time next year? I've cancellerd my pre-order for this model which I made in January 2017 at the price of £131 with the usual max 15% discount as it's going to cost nothing like that when it eventually appears. Yet in the face of some competition conversely Bachmann have been able to reduce the RRP on their Class 66 significantly and presumably still make a reasonable profit on them. It strikes me that Bachmann, and other manufacturers, are having to increase the profit they make on each unit to maintain similar overall profit levels on less unit sales due to.....increasing costs & retail prices. A downward spiral if there was ever one. Me personnally, I'm slowly coming to the end of the road with model purchasing, I have enough and generally no longer see new releases (particularly from old toolings) as value for money or affordable.
  4. Before hence why I received the email.
  5. Not surprisingly original pre-order price cannot be honoured. New pre-order price is £269.99 .
  6. Just received an email from Rails increasing the pre-order price of this pack by more than £60. Obviously it was a pricing error in Hornby's catalogue.
  7. The duplication with Hattons and Hornby of the Biffo and large logo class 66s is noteable. Not sure the market will support three of each even with differing specs.
  8. The 3 Pullman coaches in the Class 67 Pullman pack work out at around £20 each following normal discount. Will these therefore be Railroad range? They don't look to be from the picture?
  9. Sorry for possibly daft question but I assume these models are unpowered?
  10. There was nothing significantly wrong with the liveries of either batch of the TPOs, from Modelzone or the general release. Notably both had the correct yellow stripes. In my opinion, and obviously other's, Bachmann have clearly got the equivalent livery wrong on the Stowage Vans regardless of what their response says. Order cancelled.
  11. I've pre-ordered mine from Derails with a discount. Still on the website this morning and great service so far.
  12. Shame that so far they have decided to make no comment or even acknowledge the points raised.
  13. Yes I was wondering about that. Why choose to have an odd configuration for the only weathered post 1992 model? Not one of the multitude of other versions have these wide spaces letters.
  14. The base model is good but I don't think that is the point in this case. The product being offered is specifically pre-weathered and the pre-production samples of the weathering were excellent (far beyond my personal abilities that's for sure). Hence the disappointment when the production model appears with, what a number of us think, is a much inferior weathering job. Yes I could "do some modelling" to try and get a weathered finish I'm happy with but that isn't what I was hoping to buy nor is it something I particularly want to do in my spare time (each to their own). I'm sure we'll get over it though.
  15. Weathered versions now in stock. I bottled it and went for ex-works models. Time to brush up on my weathering skill.
  16. I'm hovering over the cancel button too, or possibly to change to ex-works versions.
  17. I'd probably agree if we hadn't already seen 'what you could have won'.
  18. Please tell me they aren't the final production models against the version 2 weathering everyone supported!?
  19. Roughly when did the freight (bauxite) versions cease being used by BR for revenue earning traffic? Thanks.
  20. So what will the differences be on this version over the previous Rails ltd ed? Non wonky double arrows, OHL warning flashes....anything else? Just deciding whether it's worth getting 'another' limited edition model of the same loco in the same livery.
  21. Yes there is, but....14T tank wagon ' Admiralty Naval Stores Dept'.
  22. Next club model Class 47 778 'Duke of Edinburgh's Award' in EWS livery. Announced at today's excellent club members day on the Churnet Valley Railway.
  23. Maybe but attributing blame is not my point. Surely it's best for everyone if they are properly checked as being correct BEFORE they leave the factory (unless of course damage has occurred in transit)? It's not rocket science even if it costs you a couple of flight tickets.
