  1. Apologies in advance if i'm asking a question that has previously been covered but hopefully someone can help me out. I've just taken delivery of 66587 from the used selection available. All seems ok with it apart from there being a red glow that emits from the centre of the face. I'm presuming that the light can be switched off somehow but has anyone else encountered this issue?
  2. Rails are advertising these as being available to purchase next month.
  3. Thats brilliant thank you - I have to say that the rolling road idea seems like it could be the way forward!!
  4. Just to ressurrect this thread from the days of the old king, can anyone give me guidance on removing the bogies frames on the Hornby 67 please? I want to paint the wheels but am nervous about damaging anything due to my heavy handedness / general ineptitude....
  5. Lovely looking layout - certainly a lot more interest in your depiction than its current real life guise!
  6. Is anyone else still waiting on their pre ordwer to arrive? I'm feeling victimised!
  7. Apologies if this has already been covered earlier in the thread but can anyone recommend someone to fit lights to this release please?
  8. Well the refund from my faulty Hattons Pink 66 can be used on a sound 66117 and still leave me a few quid over for a bag of chips and a cab home! Marvellous
  9. For what its worth i've returned 66587 and have just been called to advise me that there are no replacements available so have taken the refund option. It was wobblier than an anxious jelly and it appeared that at least one wheel set was not in contact with the railhead on my test track which prevented it from running even slightly well. Additionally, there appeared to be red lights permanently on in the middle of the cab face where there was no light resulting in a reddish glow - I should have taken a picture of it prior to sending it back. Anyway, I think that on balance, the Hattons project is just not worth the aggro and whilst i'm disappointed as I did love the pink One livery, i'll stick to Bachmann for future 66's. What they lack in fidelity they more than make up for in terms of reliability. Hey ho....
  10. We can but hope although Dapols announcement of the delay in the 59s doesn't instill much confidence that these will be available before England next win the World Cup!
  11. I'd rather wait and have a fully functioning model than experience the issues encountered by others on the first batch. There will however, be much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I suspect!
  12. Even though i've never seen one running on the GWR mainline this won't stop me from getting one (or two). Looks seriously impressive - well done so far guys!
  13. Very happy to see these unscaled to OO although my wallet is now weeping....
  14. Thanks for the update Dave - greatly appreciated
  15. I don't suppose anyone has an insight into the delivery dates for the next batch of these do they? I'm keen to see the Pink One livery on my layout & the project page is not very forthcoming.
  16. Hi @Westhillwagonworks I'm slowly converting all of my rolling stock over to these couplings as in my humble opinion they are superb and well worth selling a kidney to fund! One suggestion, whilst it will be a bit of a pain to put together, would it be possible to publish some sort of overview of what coupling are recommended for what rolling stock - obviously the majority will be either standard or close but it would be helpful to know and would help immensly with ordering.
  17. If anyone is interested, I have an extremely badly weathered Colas 70 body shell available. It would require TLC and probably renumbering as some of the factory logos have started to erase from an earlier bothched attempt to sort it out. I'm guessing it would fit any class 70 chassis.
  18. As an aside I see that GWR have named one of the their Class 800s in Captain Moore's honour (he served in the South West). I'll have a tenner on this being included in the 2021 range with my returns going to the NHS.
  19. Thats a handsome looking trio of 59s
  20. Yes, but these were announced in the days of pre decimalisation....
  21. Its all gone very quiet I must say. Like you, i'm looking forward to combining them with some of the Revolution JNA's for a nice stone train. Hopefully Dapol will give some sort of update once normality has returned to the world.
  22. Yep, i'm aware of that, my question is whether anyone is aware of the order in which the orders are being fulfilled. Probably one for Hattons Dave who is almost certainly up to his eyes in other more important stuff right now though!
  23. Does anyone know what the basis is for orders being fulfilled? I placed mine for the GBRf large logo on Nov 9th and haven't heard a peep yet - just my luck that I miss the cut off date before everything shuts down at Hattons....

    Peco OHLE

I contacted Peco via Facebook off the back of their Spring report - they are telling me that summer 2020 is the anticipated release date for the 2 / 4 track portals. Time will tell but at least they still seem to be scheduled.
  25. I too took delivery of my DRS triple pack yesterday morning. Hats off to all the team at Accurascale, these are another absolutely tremendous product. Great work!!
