Watched the Red Nose show/event last night and reassessed my view on what "life's difficulties" really means.
-
Wondering if the age of the internet has stopped people thinking for themselves, but rely on others to do it for them?
-
Had a good day working on the design for a new 4mm LNWR loco kit.
-
Of on holiday tomorrow, so peace and quite for a few weeks.
-
Another supermarket carpark panel"ding" on the motor. Why are people so stupid/inconsiderate?

I tend to park as far away from the door as I can ( to avoid the trolley scrapers) and you still get some dunderheid parking right next to you in a near empty car park. SWMBO got a right good ding from a white car at her office, only one white car in the office but the person denies it. Should have kept the old landie unrestored, no-one would park next to that midden....

Cut the end of my left hand index finger badly with a kitchen knife last night. Making holding plasticard for working on the new overbridge a bit difficult.
-
Succesful test seesion with London Road over the weekend, apart from more signal servo problems.
-
Not chattering, but apparent failure of one MERG Servo 4 (no response to switches or the MERG set up box although it did send the servos to the extreme end of travel), a servo on another board and one dead channel on a Heathcote board. The layout hadn't been set up fully and run since ExpoEM last year. So far a jury rig on the bench showed the "failed" MERG unit now worked okay, but I haven't got around to the others yet.

Off tommorrow for a week in Devon, no more modelling until I get back.
-
Back from a weeks holiday. A dip into RMWeb shows that life has continued without change.
-
Tidied up today and found my workbench again.
-
Took the day off working on London Road, watcing the BTCC and doing some work on the next etched loco kit.
-
Just picked up the ply for the fiddle yard surround on the extension to London Road. The last of the major "works", is the end in sight?
-
Currently working on the artwork for a LNWR 45ft D13 Family Saloon.
-
Hooray, nearly finished lining out seven LNWR carriages. Just got to fix transfers, varnish, glaze, add roofs, bogies, etc. At least the end is in site and then on to the next kit.
-
Why does everything take much longer to build than I expect?
-
Is rather disappointed that so few people have viewed Il Dottore's The 2012 RMWeb Yuletide Readings in Wheeltappers..
-
Snowing in Suffolk! I thought they kept that for Kent and Essex.
-
Off to France for a few days vacance, so you can all enjoy a bit of piece and quiet.
-
Lovely weather for modelling, so made start on the signals for London Road.
-
Is looking forward (not) to several more days of making rodding stools, point cranks, FPLs, etc. and then installing them.
-
Getting on with assembling the test etch for some new LNWR six wheel carriage kits, no frothing please.
-
Time for some more modelling, rather than following the sometimes amusing and sometimes depressing responses to the "What's new from Bachmann" topics.

Contemplating five weeks of batchelor hood when my wife flies to NZ tomorrow.
-
A few years ago, my Girlfriend went to Argentina for 2 months and I had all these great plans; mountain biking trips, modelling and lots of drinking with various people all around the UK. Ended up working 12 hour days for most of teh time and was so knackered afterwards and at weekends, that I did nothing. Hope your 'freedom' goes better.

Finished the wiring on two of the new boards for London Road, just got to finish the control panel and the fiddle yard.
-
Rather cold in the workshop, so I used my wifes holiday in NZ to take over the kitchen table. Nowhere to eat, though.
