  1. Another resident of the village is the postman.Peter Hazell.I make no apologies for the name ,as being a 60s child I was brought up watching the kids tv program 'Trumpton' and 'Camberwick Green' of which he was a character. So my nod to Brent has a nod to Trumpton too. :blum:

The casting is from Aidans range here  http://www.aidan-campbell.co.uk/76catalogue.htm#Tradesmen,%20Professionals%20and%20Service%20Personnel

The post office van is a whitemetal kit of a Morris but I forget who's make and what model it is.

  2. Incidently whilst looking for something else, I stumbled across this 2008 photo I took of the embankment being created that you see now in post 224 etc.Nothing special.Just using polystyrene blocks and mod roc very messily.

Those with a sharp eye will notice in the background is my old Triang booking office in use as a station building.I had that back in the early 70s.Over the far side are my storage sidings/fiddle yard.

  4. Very nice Rob. The 'milk' was a train I used to wait for beside the cutting at Mutley Tunnel before catching the bus home from Mutley Plain back in the good old days (59/60/61)

    Quack

At the time you probably didn't know how 'lucky' you were.I wasn't even a twinkle in the old man's eye then but he would have loved it too.

  5. As fro the cordylines I'd go with DAS modelling clay too.

I see they stock Das in my local The Range store ,so will get some tomorrow and have a go .Never used it before but not happy with the ones I've done and the photos I'm posting are showing them up badly as Trains and Armour commented a few pages back.Though not in as many words. :mosking:

  7. Anyway back to the layout after all that prototype talk and a bit of gardening. ;) I'm not happy with the bases on my cordylines and want to do them again.Anyone have any ideas please.I have the etched leaves from http://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/ but need to redo the bases like in this photo.7812 was spotted at the SVR a few years ago on a Santa Special. What is it with me and overbridges.
