Rob, are you going to model that thingy on the chimbley (technical terms)?
Most definitely not.

ANTB briefly turns into Coventry Colliery in 1964 as 1509 shunts some wagons.

35, 64 and 108 also ready for weathering and will keep 1509 company on my shunting plank. As another ex-Coventry kid it only seems proper 😁

There are numerous things that are much more pressing, yet my finger keeps hovering over the buy button..... I have a Hornby Grange that I have weathered but never got round to fitting a decoder, quite tempted to see what I can get for it on ebay to cover part of the cost of one of these.....
Rapido haven't given the exact locos and liveries that they are producing yet, so no option to order one yet anyway @The Fatadder

I could be tempted by one of these beasts from Rapido, anyone else up for a S160.

How close did I come to doing something featuring small prairies..........There's something about Kingsbridge.
Rob
I'd pay a fortune to still be able to stay in those camping coaches at Gara Bridge.

Hi Rob,
Did you see that a small cache of four lovely colour photos from the 1950's was recently posted in "GWR Modellers" on Facebook?
Kingsbridge, Gara Bridge, Brent and <Not sure, possibly Brent again?>
Not a member but would be happy to see them if possible. -

Thanks Robin. Nice variety of wagons in that photo. What date do you think it is?
Nearer to your layout timeframe than mine, I’d say the 1920’s.- 1

There’s a rather nice photo of the Kingsbridge coal wagon in an early newsletter by the Great Western Study Group. Researched by Steve Manchip , maybe @RapidoCorbs could do it for us in their range.Further to this info John @checkrail I've tracked down the issue it was in and there's also a rather nice photo of Kingsbridge yard on the cover.😎

A bump for this thread to mention that according to their advert in the April issue of BRM, these are arriving soon. It's a shame they're not at Ally Pally to ask more in person.
According to Rail's we might see these in a May/June release.

I've managed to find who was in charge of VAR at Wembley yesterday. He'd obviously forgot it was Mark Robins who saved his job back in the 90s.

Thought Maguire's first action after winning in going to speak to the Coventry players was splendid and the mark of a true sportsman 👍 he has something of Duncan Edwards about him ...................................
VAR took away one of the greatest moments of my life yesterday and I'm still convinced Wright is level in those stills shewn online. I agree with the class shewn by Maguire, not so much by Anthony mind.

Allowing it wouldn’t have fitted the tv narrative of wanting an all Manchester cup final would it. He looks level to my eyes.- 2

My local line and 1369 looks great! I popped down on Thursday to get a photo of 13268 at the head of the LMS coaches. but I won't pollute the thread with a non-GWR loco :)6 minutes ago, Gilbert said:You know you want to....

A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.
