  1. I was going to change the shirtbutton for G W R letters on mine.I'm hoping Hornby do this livery on subsequent releases but they didn't on the Grange.
  2. Fabulous research Nick.I see 2812 [shirtbutton] has just been released and as this is the number I want I assume Hornby have all the details correct for this version.
  3. How do you run a loco in when the wife nicks your extension lead for the xmas lights ?

That would be a recipe for getting cats hairs in the new 38xxs motion.

  4. Thats coming on nicely Jules.A nice touch on your pannier with fire irons tucked over the hooks. B)
  5. Treated myself to the new Hornby 38xx.What a beauty. Its a shame the box says they were designed by Churchwood.

  6. Why do we have Christmas when the shops are so busy ?

  7. I definitely bought mine to run although I haven't used it much as I don't possess any suitable stock to run behind it as yet.
  8. Thanks for that Pete. Its certainly more red than brown and theres no model paint available for it anyway.I was just thinking of something different but will stick with choc/cream for time being.
  9. Looking in Russells coach books I found coaches in all brown livery with Western Region numbers. When did these get painted in brown and what colour was the lettering. Was it the same as the siphons in yellow perhaps. How long did this livery last ? I'm particularly interested in the PBVs.
  10. Jingle Bells ! Go for it City !

  11. Had a nice chat with Simon Kohler at Warley.Apparently just as they were about to start producing the GW livery version ,the boiler mould broke and stopped production. He's hoping they will start appearing in December but won't promise. The reason the 28xx came out first is because its made in another factory. He assures me Hornby are as annoyed as the modellers waiting and the other Castles are selling well.
  12. There are not many passengers on that bubble car Geoff.I can see your station being closed by Mr Beeching.
