  1. The BR one is out now.Click on the link in the OP.
  2. Yes I'd seen that too Adrian but I thought Hornby might have a copy of Russells coach book to hand to get the detail right.
  3. Thanks Craig.I reckon the position of the shirtbutton is too high but they do look nice.
  4. Is hoping the Bees can stuff the Pirates tonight.

      They sure did!

  5. Yes.I'm looking forward to seeing how detailed the underframe is for the price.
  6. Looking at the buffer types on the siphons,I'm thinking the o/s framed ones had the cut off type ,oval in shape.Does anyone do a casting for these ? I can't see them on the usual sites.

    Taking stock (1)

Superb Frank.LMS do quite a range of buffers, which ones are yours code wise ?The etched parts also make a difference.
  8. As a seventies teenager in the Tiswas era.Chris Tarrent.
  9. I think the bogies in the Blacksmith kit are the American type.I'm using the 9' pressed steel when I get round to ordering some. Does anyone know if the ends were black or brown on the inside framed type.I can't tell from the colour photos I've seen that Captain Kernow took a while back here. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/album/366-siphon-g-detail-photos/
  10. Yes I did know about their kit but you won't find it on the website at the moment.Problems I think. From what I remember the Blacksmiths 'kit' comes with an etch you glue to the plastic underframe then add the detailing bits from castings.I do like the corridor connector etchings JW.
  11. Those etched windows are very nice as I bought some myself.Theres an etch currently on ebay going for more than you can pay Modelex for them. It takes allsorts.
  12. Why don't Bachmann Mk1 coaches hold their prices.I have a CK to sell not to giveaway. ?

What gets me is I bought 3 rakes of "old-style" N gauge ones just before they announced the new superdetailed ones.

Why not flog on eBay? I watch Bachmann Mk.1s very closely and they always seem to command high prices there....

  13. Just a heads up that the chocolate and cream versions are surfacing. The corridor 3rd is in stock. How can I justify one then ? http://www.ehattons.com/StockDetail.aspx?sid=35925
  14. Well I've gone and bought some Hycote Double Acrylic in Ford burgendy red,I had an Orion in that colour, from Amazon. Will give it a go and maybe show the results. The Hycote sprays are available in 150mls so are perfect for those who don't always model their first choice period.
  15. Can I be cheeky and bump up this thread and ask which Halfords red[?] is suitable for BR post 1957 maroon please.

Lovely job BT.I wouldn't be surprised to see a new RTR version soon.Did you use the original bogie as Comet don't do one.I used a SEF whitemetal one on mine.Still isn't finished.

    EBay madness

    Absolutely.£10 should just cover it.
  21. In the last week three things have really suprised me in the football world. Martinez choosing to stay at Wigan.Loyalty from a top bloke. Nolan leaving Newcastle to drop down a league with West Ham .Money orientated perhaps ? McLeish becoming Villas new manager in the second city. This is the most surprising considering the fierce rivalry here.At least there won't be a derby next season. Football is a mad mad world.
  22. Monopoly or Scrabble as a present ?
