  2. I bought one of them USB 7in1 card readers years ago, casing fell off and is merely a pcb now, but it still comes in handy! Once you get direct access to your card, try a file recovery program, as all the system does when you delete is erase the file header. Great modelling work by the way, which building is that?
  3. Dear Chelsea tractors and parents picking children up from school, we cyclists, like yourselves, also believe that you are above us all. But could you be gracious enough to give us more than 1ft of width to pass you? Yours Gracefully - Mr Annoyed Cyclist

  4. Don't write anything new on the memory cards, its still possible to recover lost files from them.
  5. Always a good sign when you're mum is talking about christmas presents and comments on the pricing of N gauge...

  7. Especially true considering the P2's were built for the inclines of the northern section of the ECML. Each constituent company built loco's for their own region, hence why things didn't go too well during the exchange trials.
  8. Waiting for the board so I can sort out my track on project N

  9. Win! DoNZ is due to leave Peterborough a week saturday, think I'll time my london trip so I can go have a butchers.

  10. Just complete mine, I had mostly 4's and 5's, its all great work. Didn't put '1' for any!
  11. Just casting my votes for the diaroma challenge, its all great work, so hard to be critical.

  13. Never thought of it to be honest. The camera makes the glue mark look far worse than it actually is. I often forget its there.
  14. Only when you take close up pics do you realise you need to get the dust of your loco. Although, make the picture black and white and it looks like some weathering.

  15. The plaques come in a set with the nameplate and the number for the smokebox door. Product code FEP60163 on fox transfers website They cost a little bit, alternatively you can get the printed deflectors http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-TORNADO-SMOKE-DEFLECTORS-X6344M-NEW-SPARES-/320731985714?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4aad1db732
  16. Just took a photo. Unfortunately you can see where I had a slight glue related incident with the smaller plate (very shaky hands I'm afraid). What is evident is one of the big downfalls of the Hornby model, the silly moulded buffers. I'd change them to sprung buffers but I'm not brave enough.
  17. The 4mm namplates are the same size as the ones printed on the deflector so its quite easy to line those up. For the secondary plate I found a photo similar to this and judged it by eye. I only dabbed a minute amount of superglue on it.
  18. I always thought they looked like they'd left the shed that morning wearing someone else's wheels! Great Northern - They're fantastic models by the way, are the headlamps lit?
  19. Hmm, Thompson pacifics... a look only the designer could love I think
  20. Whats that sellotaped to the bottom of the fridge? It looks like the missing nudie snap of Desmond Lynam!

    A baseboard plan...

Give Anyrail a try, seems pretty sound when it comes to technical drawing. What you've got seems good, I presume its a loft?
  22. I suppose one of the big landmarks at the time was the old power station at Rivergate. I backboard with a generic period cityscape would easily do the job. Looking at the layout I'd have thought a large backdrop would be a hindrance anyway.
  23. Another boring day, think I'll watch series 2 and 3 of Bottom.

Good quality comedy is such a rarity these days. Bottom, Fools and Horses and the Young Ones have never been topped.
