  1. I know nothing about slips but absolutely love the look of the things, would they have been cascaded down to other work when no longer on the mainlines? Looking for an excuse to have one on a ex Southern BLT in the Wyld West (not fussed which dia, must do some reading). Cheers
  2. Don't know about the "E" bit, but I'm warming to the idea of homing a diseasel in the shape of a green Dapol 22. Cheers mate
  3. Liar, liar, pants on fire UPS guy handed me that after a, somewhat, interesting journey from Model Railways Direct in Portishead* *which reminds me, I must go down the WC and P Cheers Dubya Edit: me LED's have just rocked up too. So just a room to redecorate and the boards to turn up, hopefully by the end of this month (the boards that is, I have 10 days, whilst Nola is sunning herself in the med, to decorate the room. This is not taking into account fry ups, watching train porn from the dvd stash, drinking some cydors or generally being my usual lazy git self).
  4. Excellent service! Just got handed my Well Tank by the UPS guy and she's running in on the rolling road right now. Interesting journey from Bristol to Tamworth and back to Bristol (I live in Bath). I'll definitely be shopping a little more local in future (nothing in Bath anymore). Cheers Dubya
  5. It's good to see the actual depth of the layout at this point and how much is in such a space. Top stuff, cheers
  6. Are these any good? https://www.coastaldcc.co.uk/products/circuitron/tortoise-remote-mount
  7. Cheers, UPS it is, found in my junk folder
  8. Hi, Does anyone know which couriers these guys use. I've been given a tracking number in the format of: Shipping Ref No: ###### Campaign ID: # but absolutely no idea of who they shipped it with. I dropped them an email after I got the number but I guess they've gone down the boozer/chippy/home. Cheers Dubya
  9. As far as I know you must have an MS account to use 11, no way around that (but we're working on it ).
  10. In short, nope but will have to eventually I guess I have a firmware TMP2 (regardless of firmware or hardware the requirement is for a TPM2 not just a TMP). If your mobo doesn't have a firmware TPM2, but does have a header for one, then you can plug one in. These were a couple of quid a while back but prices are going up. You must also have an MS account for Windows 11, no way around that (yet).

  12. Excellent stuff! Looking forward to (please + hopefully) seeing video footage of as many as these as possible. I'm playing it safe at the moment and staying put. Cheers
  13. The 33's in HO if that helps... na thought not. I'm glad I've moved on from the idea of doing Sidmouth in it's entirety in 8' in OO. Anyway, some other geezers done it in OO+2.33, so I don't need to
  14. Are these ok as far as traction goes?
  15. Cheers youngun', I'll take a look and try not to have a nosebleed when I get there. Thanks mate
  16. Sounds like my old Allegro that does. I didn't realise they made a diesel version up until then
  17. G, What software do you use please? The Mrs has the Cameo Silhouette cutter thingy and uses the software that came with it. I'm thinking of relocating said asset and using it for buildings, multiple overlays of thin plastikard or even paper. Pretty sure the South Western Circle have scale plans @ 4mm:1' etc for such and I was wondering if there was a program one could simply scan plans into and convert into something the cutter understands. As I cba arsed to learn any of that cad stuff, although I can get the Autodesk stuff for free from work. Cheers Dubya
  18. Bill Bedford does etches for the Ironclad Pull-Push sets, as for anything else, eBay's your best bet. Cheers
  19. Hi there, I got my LSWR stops (Mike's Models) from Holt Model Railways. They don't appear to have a web site anymore, but Google informs me that their telephone number is 01792 232264. Cheers
  20. Thinking about the ex LSWR Gate Sets in the early BR(S) era, how would these have been controlled? ta
