  1. Hi Andy, are any of the two packs below of help? 7mm-9989: Renumber pre-TOPS loco incl data panels http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2838 7mm-9990: Renumber pre-TOPS loco http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2938 I'll be releasing a parallel "complete loco pack" for the BR green version of the 08 in due course. If this is what you would prefer then let me know. Thanks, Steve
  2. This isn't the thread to discuss email traffic but as it's been brought up here, so I shall respond. If it's the "Martyn" I think it is that I can find from March this year re 7mm then I replied requiring further info within 48hrs but never received a response. See earlier comment about some emails getting filtered into recipients' Junk or bouncing back due to mailboxes being full. Suggest you email info@railtec-models.com and continue the topic offline. Thankfully 99+% of folks seem to find the web site absolutely fine to use but inevitably with technology there will be exceptions.
  3. That's odd as I simply don't publicise a phone number (one or two people do have it) else I'd spend all day every day doing little else other than fielding phone calls which would go something like, "No, I haven't got to it yet that's why there's been no update." I do get more emails than Don Trump and, as the blurb on the link below says - as well as every email footer - it's a physical impossibility to respond to all of them in a timely manner. Some emails have been known either not to reach me, or my responses to queries not reach the recipient because they get filtered into Junk or the recipient's inbox is full (this isn't uncommon). They do go through a third party web provider at my end as well as everyone's email client at your end e.g. Sky, BT, TalkTalk etc - all of which have different filter settings for incoming emails. Some jobs do get logically grouped together and in some instances there are lengthy wait times. It's a hugely niche specialist service and product. There's often a lot of research, design and test printing goes on behind the scenes and so there's just no way of getting round the fact that wait times for some jobs are unavoidable (some custom jobs such as simple complete loco numbersets usually get turned around extremely quickly). If some projects absolutely cannot wait and some folks need to go elsewhere - I have nothing against that. Those who understand what's involved in making quality transfers and are happy to wait receive a product that many consider as superior. 4. It was one of these products here: 7mm-C0804: Complete loco: BR blue class 08 w/ your number http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2362 7mm-9092: Renumber TOPS loco incl data panels: http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2839 Hope this helps, Steve
  5. That's a seriously great find and thanks for sharing. It's the best photo I've yet to see of one of those. Now if anyone knows of an image of what's on the right-hand door in that photo, then we'd be one step closer towards it being a definite possibility... I also don't know how many of these there were, and what their running numbers were. I suspect there can't have been more than a handful as I was quite a coach geek back in the day!
  6. Not at this time. This would unfortunately be unmanageable. Snip from original post: The roll-out of this new tech is going to be very carefully managed. We're still beyond capacity with demand for existing and new transfers: this will not change. The transfer catalog will continue to grow at around 400 new product lines each year to help the modelling community with more choice and more quality. We will in tandem gradually start to release limited edition runs of specific models, liveries and running numbers. We already have the first subject in mind and this will be revealed in the fullness of time. In the meantime however we wanted to share this new opportunity with the community as a taster of what is to come and what is now possible.
  7. Now there's a thought... But didn't someone already release this? Okay I could do it with different markings and numbers, but still...
  8. Not sure what's happening at your end as I can see them fine here, but here are URLs to the images if needed: http://www.railtec-models.com/img/94792a_1000px.jpg http://www.railtec-models.com/img/94792b_1000px.jpg Happy viewing!
  9. After another superb Warley show, we're delighted to announce phase 3 of our state-of-the-art technology. We have a never-ending passion to continue to innovate, advance the hobby into the 21st century and help modellers by offering more choice, more quality and more tech. This may look like an ordinary CCT van, but it is not. It is in fact a first sample prototype of what we believe could be a world first. So what's the fuss? This is not so much about the livery or the model: these of course have been done before. It's the concept. Railtec has bent new technology to create true factory RTR models in small or mass batches in whatever livery, all with different running numbers and with whatever other unique markings we choose. This side shows 94792; the other was done as 94239 simply as a test. (Having been born/bred in Manchester these battered Red Bank parcels were always a favourite and so a great choice for a first test). Essentially this means the process of respraying and transfer application are done automatically to a factory standard that may well be the envy of many resprayers. The roll-out of this new tech is going to be very carefully managed. We're still beyond capacity with demand for existing and new transfers: this will not change. The transfer catalog will continue to grow at around 400 new product lines each year to help the modelling community with more choice and more quality. We will in tandem gradually start to release limited edition runs of specific models, liveries and running numbers. 10. A lot has been happening since our last post. There's the usual 100+ new items released which span our spot printed conventional 2d, pioneering 3d waterslide, chrome, metallic, filmless and dry rub-on range, but there's something even more noteworthy and ground breaking. Those who visit our stand at Warley this year will be able to see and hold an example of something which is quite possibly a world first and another pioneering step forward in our hobby from Railtec. The 3rd phase of our technology will be unveiled, which will turn heads and potentially be a huge help particularly in the lucrative respraying and kit-building industries. Those who come to the shows and chat to us year after year will know that we place an encompassing focus on our own product and our customers, and offer the best that technology can achieve. The 4th phase will come online in 2018, but more on that later! The image may be un-blurred by visiting the stand in the Small Suppliers area at Warley. Or if somebody takes a photo and decides to socialise it before we get the chance to do so after the show! "I've tried the others; now I only use Railtec." Pete Waterman, OBE DL "Wonderfully accurate, well researched, technically superb, simple to apply, impeccably printed. For D&E you can find no better." Tim Shackleton, Hornby Magazine
  11. They're available at Railtec but currently out of stock. They're spot printed so no superfluous carrier film, wonderfully thin to easily bed in to the contours, compatible with enamels, full solid colours with no join lines in the print and scratch/fade resistant. We also have the official licence to do the sub sector badges. Mad busy prepping for Warley at the minute but they'll be re-stocked in due course I imagine. 12. I'm currently looking at making the Track 29 markings but am woefully short of images from pretty much every online and offline resource I can currently find. I have a handful although they are poor quality and don't show as much as what's needed to be able to bring out a decent offering. Does anyone: - have any images that they are able to share; - know if these markings were carried by any vehicles other than 95400 and 95410? Any other info which may not be immediately obvious would be warmly received. Thanks in advance and no doubt see many of you at the Warley madness! Steve
  13. Thanks John; appreciated. That pre-TOPS sheet looks useful indeed. At Railtec the TOPS variants are / will be: - spot printed so no superfluous unsightly carrier film to worry about - contain variations in data panels for added authenticity - contain true vibrant white - have perfect print registration - are either filmless or has the thinnest carrier available - are compatible with enamels - withstand regular handling - have no half toning or join lines in the print Those who frequent other social media such as Instagram and Facebook may also be aware that there are other considerations to factor in when choosing a supplier.
  14. Yes - they've been in the pipe for a while and are partly already in design although no ETA as yet. What tends to happen is projects such as these get temporarily put on the back burner when for example a new livery emerges (for which there is always a rush demand), a large bulk order from a kit manufacturer comes in, work is needed helping Bachmann on their catalog (such as now) or a show such as Warley. Add into the mix the continued deluge of requests for new packs and custom work and several months can go by before you get the opportunity to pick on them again! It will happen though. I've always had a soft spot for steels and I'd like to get them out sooner rather than later. As ever, best to keep an eye on the web site as with around 60 new product lines being released every month, there's always something new on there. Thanks, Steve
  15. If you've got artwork ready made - preferably in vector format like AI, EPS or SVG then drop me a PM. Projects with ready made artwork tend to become a lot more feasible in the eye-watering list of open requests. Thanks, Steve
  16. Thanks Ian. Indeed, a 4mm pack available here: http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1949 A pack is also available in 2mm (and we could do equally 7mm and larger if need be). Thanks, Steve
  17. I've had a few folks ask about Satlink and I'd love to do them. The crucial thing is having a good enough range of images so that I can make pack(s) which cover what people need. If anybody has any squirrelled away then please do feel free to share. I've got a few of my own, a few found online but sadly they are few and far between. Thanks, Steve
  18. Now back in stock and spot printed so no superfluous carrier film to worry about: http://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=RPSI
  19. I've been asked by a few people to make a simple renumber / re-letter pack for various gWr stock, so without further ado here it is. These are of course spot-printed so have no superfluous unsightly carrier to worry about, and are compatible with enamels as well as acrylics. The pack contains both HST sets LA15 and LA16, with additional vehicles 41145 and 42299, as well as numbers / letters for the day-time and sleeper stock. Pack 4mm-2478 http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3047
  20. Thanks for that. Here's the link for those who may be interested: Pack 4mm-C4304 http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3005 I'd originally created the pack specifically with a BR blue set in mind, but it can really be used for any HST set. Quick/easy renumbering, all spot printed so no superfluous unsightly carrier, no need to worry about cutting out and lining up individual numbers.
  21. Here you go Robert (& others) Complete loco: gWr 43093 Pack 2mm-43093-1 http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3009 Complete loco gWr 43093 incl 3D nameplates Pack 2mm-43093-2 http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3010 Whilst I had the shrink ray handy I also applied it to 47813 in its ROG livery, which has the nice level of colour vibrancy in its (filmless) main logo: Complete loco: ROG 47813 (innovation livery) Pack 2mm-47813-1 http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3008 As I'm here I've also released packs in 2mm and 4mm to suit the ScotRail ex-GWR HST in its temporary "New Era" advertising livery (with thanks to Transport Scotland as always) : 2mm-3375: http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3004 4mm-3375: http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3003 Back to the never-ending grindstone...
  22. The packs suggested by cal.n are a good starting point and may well give you what you need. The style of large logo numbers as seen in the packs are unique to this loco. When DRS approached us a couple of years ago to do the vinyls that are currently carried by 403, they were keen to replicate the hand-painted style numbers as applied by Eastfield (or was it Glasgow Works - I can never remember) in the 80s - which is what we did. So if you opt for one of those packs you can be certain you're getting the real thing in miniature
  23. As usual there is an absolute stack of new releases to share - quite frankly that many that there hasn't been the time to socialise most of them anywhere other than on the Railtec site itself. However, so many folks have asked about this one that I need to make a flying visit to let folks know that packs for gWr 43093 Legends of the Great Western are now available, with the optional add-on of Old Oak Common HST Depot 3D waterslide nameplates. 43093-1: Complete loco http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2996 43093-2: Complete loco incl nameplates http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2997 2mm and other scales will follow. I'll try to make time to share some of the highlights of recent and imminent releases very shortly. Usual disclaimer applies re workload / emails for custom work etc (http://www.railtec-models.com/workload.php).
  24. Hi Bryn, have just sent an email. Thanks, Steve Railtec Transfers Railtec products are used by thousands including Bachmann Europe, Direct Rail Services, Just Like The Real Thing, Little Loco Company and Peco. "I've tried the others; now I only use Railtec". Pete Waterman, OBE DL *** Railtec products are spot printed (so have no superfluous carrier film), do not require any separate white base layer, do not scratch or blemish when handled, contain true white with full vibrant colours, have no feint join lines in the print, have perfect print registration, have the thinnest carrier available (filmless where applicable) and are compatible with enamels. Please do take care when shopping around. Waiting for custom work? Please read this: http://www.railtec-models.com/workload.php
