Correct. In fact it's only at Railtec that the WCRC decals (and others) are manufactured without the extra carrier film and without any half-toning, so they have full solid colours and you don't need to cut close to the print to minimise the carrier. They're also compatible with enamels, withstand regular handling and reasonably priced. Due to absolute sheer volume of incoming messages (not just emails but chat windows, Whatsapp, phone calls, etc) - not to mention all the other activities such as designing new packs, mass printing, working with manufacturers / magazines / etc, there are instances where it unfortunately takes much longer than we'd all like to reply to all the emails. It's just a physical impossibility to get to all of them in a timely manner I'm afraid. We do get round to all of them and just ask for people's patience.

If memory serves I think the stumbling block is decent side-on images (and they would have to be really side-on) of the Cargowaggon and Transferry brandings. Or better still if someone has artwork. The only alternative is to recreate them from scratch by hand, and whilst feasible, it's the kind of job which needs a decent amount of time setting aside (and time is always at a premium).

It's good to see the results that folks are achieving. These brake disc transfers do require a little more extra care than the rest of the range due to the fact that they have to be hollow in the middle so that they can be seamlessly placed over the wheelsets, leaving the inner part of the wheel untouched. A couple of spares are included in each pack just in case, but when it comes to application the best method is just to place the transfer almost in situ and then remove the backing paper, as opposed to place the transfer next to the wheel and then move the actual transfer (so a bit like the tablecloth routine except not quite as fast and without Debbie McGee stood behind you). I had mine all done in less than 5 minutes. If folks need more of these than what are currently showing in stock, it's no problem to make as many as required.

Nile is correct. The nature of any waterslide transfer means that there has to be some carrier in between the print in order to avoid alphabet soup (unless somebody wanted to apply each letter individually but then the end result would likely not be straight - even with the steadiest hand, and it would be a painful task). That means that there has to be some basic preparation to get the desired result, and there are certainly more ways than one. A glossy surface is always going to be preferable. Fwiw the Northern Belle range will be replenished at Railtec over the coming period to take advantage of the new technology. The big differences are that Railtec product is spot printed so no extra carrier / no fine cutting required, no halftoning so good solid spot colours, the transfers don't scratch or rub off when handled, and they're also compatible with enamels as well as acrylics. We got invited to climb all over the Northern Belle rake with a tape measure so every piece of the detail will be authentically recreated.

It should only be a handful of overseas IPs that are blocked by the host provider - usually those in China / Russia (and possibly a few others) which seem to have a habit of trying to do things they shouldn't. I'm happy to help everybody out with non-standard size numbers. The "08 pack with your choice of number and depot code" above by default has the standard BR blue 6" numbers (as I think it reasonably should) but if folks need smaller to suit the Dapol then that's fine. At the end of the day we can make things whatever size people need. Drop me a line privately and/or when buying the pack just let us know it's for the Dapol (Contact Us link is probably best). Whilst we're currently dispatching these custom 08 packs within about 1-2 days, please do bear with us though as the workload continues to be beyond eye-watering.

So, a question: where can I get numbers of a size to match the ones Dapol have used? Railtec has a pack available where you specify which number and depot allocation code you would like. Most folks remove the existing 08 numbers and replace with complete numbersets that can be applied as one easy transfer rather than try to line up individual numbers in a straght line. That's a good question. It's so long ago since I designed the pack that I don't recall, though instinct tells me that it would have been genuinely designed for the 4mm loco. So as not to highjack this thread, PM me offline when/if you come to need them and we can get crisp on the dimensions for you. Either way, it's a very simple job to rescale if needed.

Thanks Mick! One good thing about managing the entire end-to-end process in house is that changes can be made on-the-fly. So here's the revised version of the Network Rail SGT: There is a separate pack if needed with pretty much all the other NR running numbers on, but hopefully the above should suffice on its own for most.

Thanks Mick. In fact we've been revisiting the SGT offerings earlier today. That pack you kindly mentioned Mick has now been split into two, i.e. the Network Rail version and the earlier RTC (later livery) variant, just so folks didn't end up having waste. Indeed we do. In fact I'm still having nightmares about the length of time we spent getting as close a match as is possible to both the Bachmann and Hornby EWS maroons. (Just in case anyone ever wondered why there's such a backlog of work - and this is just one item!) They're not _hugely_ different although there is a difference. In fact many people may not notice a Hornby EWS shade of number on a Bachmann loco, but in for a penny etc. 4mm-2231: Hornby EWS renumbering pack 4mm-2234: Bachmann variant We could've just stayed with a one-size-fits-all pack, but where's the fun in that.

Ah . You're absolutely correct; apologies Alan. They could very easily be upscaled to 7mm if required.
