  1. Hi Alan, if it helps and if you're doing more, then a choice of the two packs below may mean that you don't have to trim down the yellow 1st class lining: http://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=yellow+1st+class
  2. I have major grave concerns about W10 for numerous reasons, largely because of the dumbed-down user experience, but mostly because of this: having updates and patches forced on a user base is a recipe for disaster. In a previous life I consulted for B2B software companies which had multiple blue-chip organisations amongst its customers. These included customers in finance, military, aviation and health industries to name a few. And guess what? Those companies would hardly ever adopt a .0 release. Why? Because they are riddled with bugs. They would wait for the .1 maintenance release. Ok, W10 has been out for a while but how soon will it be before a poorly tested patch or brand new version of Windows is forced on us which leaves a gaping security hole or at the very least has a significant adverse impact on our PC experience. I never want to be in that position. I want a choice. I want to choose how I use my PC, not how some MS college grad in Bangalore thinks I should use it. With each subsequent version of Windows there seems to be a never ending ton of stuff going on in the background, slowing me down. XP was, and still is in my opinion, the best MS offering. Lightning quick, intuitive and usable. What a shame they had to fix something that wasn't broken.
  3. Thanks Robert. Indeed, here it is: To give you: ...albeit that photo is of course of the EMT/EC set, but the markings in the pack are the same. Pack is available here.
  4. Wonderful to see Richard; many thanks for sharing. It's hugely rewarding to see the end product.
  5. Despite being released only this lunchtime, there have been a few made today's 1st class post already so I'd imagine they'll be landing on various door-steps during tomorrow. Those who are familiar with our process will know that we use discrete packaging so that any spousal arguments of, "Have you been spending again...?" are hopefully avoided
  6. Thanks to Kit we've now produced a transfer pack for antimacassar seat brandings to suit vehicle TC1. Each pack contains 34 brandings - so enough for 2 vehicles plus spares for those who have purchased extra vehicles. I'm sure it's mentioned elsewhere in the thread but Kit informs us that vehicle TC2 did not contain any brandings as the seats were all black. Hopefully the pack may help those who would like to go to that extra level of detail in this already fine model. The pack reference is 4mm-3122, available here.
  7. Thanks Mick; new pack just sorted. Now includes some black panels for 369022-48. We've even worked off photos of the real vehicles to reflect the actual ton and tare weights... Pack 4mm-6027

Usual disclaimer applies: there is always a very lengthy list of requests for custom work and new packs, so if we haven't yet got to your request then please continue to bear with us and we'll respond in due course. A cleaner Inbox means we can get to requests that bit quicker. Thanks for your understanding.
  9. We would, Kit. And hopefully make as decent a job as your Pine Tree decals for you! Fire me an email.
  10. For anyone needing those HEA transfers, they're available on this sheet: http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1520 HTAs also available, though we need to put pack 4mm-6031 back in stock: http://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=HTA Lovely to see those custom HTA panels.
  11. Hi Geoff, certainly the COV ABs will make an appearance at some point. As for the Fruit Ds, again these will likely be a pack when we get the opportunity, though you might have gathered we get absolutely slammed 7 days a week and there are only so many hands to do the work! What would perhaps help with the Fruit Ds is if you can email through as much info as you can detailing any specific markings you would find useful (perhaps also a good point at which to influence what running numbers you might like to see). In both cases however - and I can't stress this enough - we can't commit to any kind of ETA due to sheer workload - ref http://www.railtec-models.com/workload.php. Thanks, Steve
  12. No sooner had I hit "Send" are we're back up and running. (But for how long). Job #437 on our very long list is "find a new web host provider"!
  13. The woeful web host is having some issues at the minute. They tell us their admins "are working on it". I can only assume they have run out of hamsters or hamster wheels. Normal service should resume shortly, which is just as well as we've just put out a bucket load of sub-sector packs for Petroleum, Metals, Aggregates and Coal!
  14. Important note about wait-times for custom work It's humbling that there continues to be such demand for custom work / new packs, though as stated on our web site and in email footers it is impossible to commit to timescales due to the absolute enormous quantity of requests that we receive every single day from a mountain of modellers. There is often only one pair of full-time hands which means it's a physical impossibility to get to all of them as quickly as we'd all like, and inevitably there can be lengthy wait times for some pieces of work, even if they may seem fairly straight-forward. So, each email, each chat exchange, each interaction which requires our response - they all take precious time. The only other option is to draw a line and switch off the custom offer - something we don't wish to do because we know how important personal projects are and how much personal satisfaction they bring to the modeller when finished - and we get a buzz from your satisfaction. All we can do is politely request that people bear this in mind when waiting for what is a very niche and specialist service, and help us stay focussed on working through the endless influx of requests. We love what we do and hope that the results bring joy to those involved such as is seen in the kind comments in this thread. Thanks in advance for your patience, Steve
  15. We'll be releasing transfer packs to give different running numbers for the batch of tanks just released by Lionheart, and could release similar packs for other POs if people are able to assist with the info.
  16. It's been a while since our last update, what with Warley, the Christmas break and more recently the forthcoming Bachmann catalog, but it hasn't stopped us churning more new transfer packs.
