  1. I know camera close-ups can be cruel but if I were to make these 1s and 3s available for everyone I think there'd be a noticeable difference in the print, example attached. Do you have a photo of real example of what they're supposed to look like so I can see the exact style of shading? (PM me if that's easier). I've been asked more than once to make sheets of this style of "1" and "3" available, and one forum member has just very recently inspired me to get stuck more into pre-grouping and Big Four elements. Naturally they'll get the full Railtec treatment so they'll be spot printed with perfect print registration and the full colour spectrum. It should also help people avoid having to buy multiple sheets just to get a lot of specific elements.
  2. It'd be interesting to see evidence that they did carry a twin black line (and if a model had them then that's never a guarantee of course that the real thing ever did). From all the detail images I have - including my own - I can only see twin blue lines. But, every day is a school day and so if they did ever carry a twin black line then I can very easily release a parallel pack.
  3. This thread cropped up in my feed and I've just had a very quick scan, but if all that's needed is plain white text (i.e. no drop shadow etc) then the customisable item below might get you out of a hole? https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3641 Naturally it'd be spot printed so no slabs of thick carrier film to cut out.
  4. Ok, as this was low-hanging fruit I've created a new off-the-shelf offering for everybody in both 2mm and 4mm. Here's the 2mm pack: 2mm-3028 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4706 As you can see, I've included brandings and numbers for the two alleged ScotRail sleepers, as well as some accompanying daytime vehicles and motorails. Hopefully this hits the mark?
  5. In response to the opening post, a new 4mm pack for these is now live: 4mm-6430 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4705 As is the Railtec way, painstaking care goes into making the data panels unique like the real things, reflecting sizing, variations in typefaces, positioning and different tare weights where applicable so that your wagons don't all look the same. Naturally they're spot printed too so there's no superfluous carrier film to fight with. Thought I'd include some of the Currock badges as one or two of them carried later on.
  6. Hi John, just to confirm, do you mean like is just about visible in the image below? Images of sleeper mk3s in InterCity exec seem surprisingly hard to come by - on tinterweb at least, though I haven't reached for my stash of Platform 5s yet. What I can't figure out from that image is whether it's "InterCity Sleeper" or "Inter-City Sleeper" so if anyone has any more concrete photographic evidence then that would be useful and then I can make a new pack for everyone on the web site. I don't recall any sleepers at all with the ScotRail blue stripe though, and if I were a betting man then I'd be leaning on the side of saying there weren't any, but it'd be nice to be proven otherwise.
  7. Yep - I can do that, particularly as the artwork already exists. Hang on...
  8. Hiya John, do you have a photo of what specifically you'd like to achieve?
  9. Do you have an image (or link to an image) of what specifically you mean? Railtec may already do them.
  10. With the dubious privilege of living and breathing the minutest variations in livery detail day in/day out, it would appear that 56089 never made it to the later style of the branding. It's a shame that the factory R&D/QA team didn't pick up on it particularly as the way they've manufactured the branding isn't prototypical of anything (to the best of my knowledge, at least). Here's a shot of what we're told is 089 meeting its fate with the earlier branding very prominent: Like Rich says though - brilliant modelling on this thread. I'm sure Simon already knows but for the benefit of others there's the option to renumber/rebrand any EWS loco via this item here: https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=2230 Branding & number spacing traced from the originals (as many of them varied), spot printed and with the correct EWS maroon colour.
  11. Hi David, it'll be both, as I'm guessing others might find them useful too. Hopefully. They won't appear overnight though, simply because of the tedious amount of research and careful designing that goes into making them look authentic. Not so great for quick releases, but surprisingly therapeutic!
  12. If you need ready-made OBA data panels then this pack here might be of use? https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1053 When it comes to decals in general, life's too short to be cutting out and lining up tiny letters and numbers! A pack for the MHAs will appear at some point, btw. Railtec has the correct colour for EWS gold and the licence to print the EWS marks (including simply "EWS" which believe it or not needs the licence) so they'll likely all be included on the one pack for convenience. Similarly I go to utterly beyond tedious lengths to get the data panels looking like the real things, rather than what might otherwise be an easy approach of a sheet of identical looking data panels just with different numbers. Unless your rakes of wagons are completely ex-works, that is. And guess what - I think I've yet to come across a data panel for a specific wagon type that's the same size as the next, so I replicate the different sizes too. They're an absolute minefield which is why a simple looking wagon type can take so long to get looking right - at least if you want it to look like your models have been shrunk from the real things. As I'm literally just today beavering on a pack for Limpets (& related) I have a sneek preview to-hand to demonstrate exactly what I mean: In fact this would-be pack is so new it's not even got a catalog number yet. I've yet to see anywhere other than Railtec quite this mad to go to this level of excruciating detail, but hopefully it's worth it . My family and I have spent literally years since yesteryear photographing the railway in detail so many of the examples are traced from the real things where possible. And of course with Railtec product, everything is spot printed so there's no superfluous carrier film to fight with and no join lines in the print.
  13. Just to update the thread - thanks to the kind help of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway Trust, these are now available in 2mm and 4mm. The badges have been exquisitely reproduced to look just like the real things, as well as other detail such as the data panels traced from the originals: https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=liverpool+manchester As always, the L/L numbers in isolation can be done here: 2mm: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3779 3mm: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4075 4mm: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3190 7mm: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3191 Hope this gives @Esmedune & others what they need.
  14. If you wanted to PM me some images and specific details and tare ranges of what you would be looking for, then I can determine feasibility. I really would need to be guided by your specific research though. The more explicit you can be, the higher the likelihood of me being able to make something available.
  15. It's the only site I've had 'issues' with Paypal and when you offered to place the order over the phone - your card facility was down and I did give you my mobile number and you never bothered back to me when it was fixed. I had a neighbour try to order for (who works for Worldpay) she couldn't place the order either. I should think we are at risk of tainting an otherwise positive, informative and light-hearted thread, but as there has been a written public inference that the Railtec web site is somehow discriminatory, in addition that Railtec was unhelpful in other regards, then one might hope it would be deemed reasonable to similarly set the public record straight. Railtec has no control over how an individual's PayPal account functions, limitations thereof, the technical ability of an individual to administer their PayPal account, nor has any control over paypal.com. This equally accounts for neighbours or other acquaintances who may or may not be allegedly employed by competitors of PayPal. Clearly if there were a generic issue with the integration between Railtec (or any site) and paypal.com then this would present itself in a widely publicised manner, which is far from the case based on the vast numbers who are able to complete the check-out process. According to my notes an attempt was made to contact the number provided but received a "this number is not accepting calls" response. Granted, another attempt was not made as other matters came to the fore, but reading a previous comment it would appear that you have hopefully found success in sourcing the required product via other means. Perhaps any further discussion should be conducted via PM. And so in an attempt to redress the pH balance, it may be of interest to some that there has been some further testing on GWR mess and tool van roof boards which takes advantage of the waterslide 3d technology in order to give the correct relief. Just a little more research to be done around specific colours but these should become available in due course in at least 4mm and 7mm.
  16. Did you mean to actually write that you can't get the Railtec web site to work? The Railtec web site continues to be perfectly operational and orders continue to pile in. I seem to recall it being an issue for you once you got to paypal.com - which of course is nothing to do with Railtec. I'm pretty strong technically but I don't control PayPal. For the remainder, the GWR packs can be found here, incl the complete steam loco packs incl both 2d and 3d customisable items: https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?type=5&gauge=4mm&theme=26 I'm sure everyone else will let me know if the link above doesn't work for them
  17. Hi @Esmedune, at this point I'm afraid there is nothing around CR passenger vehicles. I believe I have a couple of bits for freight, but that's it for now. That isn't to say they might one day appear, but usual disclaimer that this is by no means any guarantee that they will at all, nor that I would recommend it's ok to start repainting stock in preparation against that backdrop. To potentially save periodic update requests, if they don't present themselves on the web site under a search of "Caledonian" then they simply don't exist. Re the Weltrol, I don't believe I have anything specific so it's entirely possible that Pete used bits from another pack. Re the wider topic of searching on the web site, the catalog has grown that quickly (~350-400 new lines every year) that I would like to overhaul it at some point and I do have something funky in mind, but as @Phil Mc says - modifying the back-end web site code (yes I do that too) takes time away from developing new product. The search box is basic but it should ultimately find you what you need, albeit now you may need to scroll through a longer list of search results because of the bigger catalog. But hopefully it's better to have increasingly more choice, and you may just see something else of interest to you or a fellow club member in doing so. As I see a number of people search with mis-spelled words, there's also the option to search by era, by livery and by rolling stock type: https://www.railtec-models.com/scale-model-transfers.php Also as an additional stop-gap I did introduce the concept of searching by "theme", here: https://www.railtec-models.com/themes.php If there's a product line which is mis-categorised then let me know and I'll get it corrected. Happy browsing!
  18. If it's just purely ready-made non/passenger vehicle numbers that you need, this should do the job: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4129 Will give you specific numbers you like and will save you cutting out and lining up individual numbers and letters. Unless people like that sort of thing
  19. Oh go on then. But I really must get back to LSL HSTs https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4574
  20. Nice looking wagon; liking the worn look. Creating a parallel pack of existing artwork simply with different numbers such as this is luckily just a 4 minute job. Here you go, 7mm-4311 (pack B) just released: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4573
  21. Hiya Sam, just replied to your email from 45 mins ago (was the only one I could find from you). These are doable and will appear at some point, and of course will be spot printed so no superfluous carrier film and perfect print registration too. Besides all the usual jobs my attentions are diverted the past few weeks with designing and testing some of the more recent livery additions to the modern scene. If only I'd created Railtec back in the days of BR blue and there wouldn't be a new livery variant released every week...
  22. In response to the original request, a pack for the Royal Train lining is now available: 4mm-1099 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4566 Took more than you might think to get the right shade of colour, the very fine alignment spot on and the entire thing looking right in scale. Hopefully worth it!
  23. None of what you list are constraints at Railtec. PM me with what you have and I can take a look when I am able.
