  1. I've got Class 37 Loch Lomond on order for that purpose
  2. YES - at last, finally managed to get the loose chain refitted. Took a further 15-20 minutes - but as soon as it was in the hole out came the glue. No way is that going to shift. Now that's the good news - on re-righting the loco something fell out from the bogie - looks like a brake pad. I'm guessing that to refit will require the removal of the bogie. Looking at the instructions for this on the A/S support page, the first thing to do is remove the chains - not a chance! I'll have to live without a brake on one of the wheels.
  3. Read this - https://www.accurascale.com/pages/support#reamaze#0#/kb/class-55-deltic/how-to-remove-the-deltic-body
  4. I can manage the first part- it's pushing it in I can't do. Just spent another 30 futile minutes - tried tweezers, flat-headed screwdriver and even a thumb / finger to no avail. Looking at the shape of it I'm guessing it's got to go up slightly rather than straight in? All I've succeeded in doing is remove all the black paint - but that's a minor issue. And I've also lost a set of steps in the loft insulation somewhere - I hope A/S have some spares.
  5. Only if they make them easier to fit. When I first opened mine I thought all 4 chains were missing - then closer inspection revealed them to have fallen inside the bogies. Simple enough to gently pull them out but one is not connected to the body. Spent 30 minutes so far with no success - I can get the spigot into the hole but cannot get any pressure to then fully insert it. Any body know the technique to achieve this please? I also had 2 steps and one other small bit from the buffer beam loose in the box. This last bit was easy to fit with the buffer beam removed - next I'll look at the pipework.
  6. Think you're being a bit hard on @Corytonthere - it is easy to (mis)interpret your statement as having ordered multiple versions of each of the 5 class 89's available
  7. Thanks to DHL's notification process I was able to head off the driver before he rang the doorbell - OH is WFH in the back bedroom - don't know if I've got away with it yet. Now just got to wait for her to go out so The Black Watch can make it's way into the loft. Have to say the box wasn't as big / heavy as I was expecting, given some of the earlier comments.
  8. As he's losing weight you'd need to renew his figurine each year
  9. If you order direct with Accurascale you earn 'cashback' for the next model that takes your fancy
  10. Are they examples of TRAINSwomen we keep hearing about in the news?
  11. Take out Gold membership on RMWeb and you can try to sell on here
  12. If the guys (are there any gals?) at A/S did this it would be the mother of all models
  13. I was in the same position - but then notification came in about The Black Watch (non-DCC) being available - duly ordered.
  14. Is what you're calling a 'speck' the large mount of orange next to the center grille? And is that a scratch on the yellow?
  15. You may be at the back of some very long queues - dependent on which version you go for
  16. Funky Moped - Jasper Carrott
  17. Well that's consistency for you - for clarification this is an observation NOT a criticism / complaint. I am too indebted to A/S for providing me the opportunity to obtain up-to-date models with lots of added detail at very reasonable prices. Although I have to admit I didn't go for this particular offering.
  18. If your body shape is reflective of your forum handle than I'd prefer if you kept your clothes on
  19. Is there not a picture of the completed kit on the packet - even if not 100% scale you should be able to work it out.
