  1. You need neither point motors or frog juicers - but you do need feeds to the 'dead' green sections. Feed to the frog is to ensure continuity of power through the point without relying on the switch blades. This is something I didn't understand when I laid my track years ago and now regret this ignorance.
  2. Must be popular as according to the A/S website some variants are OOS already Must have been a time-lag - all versions now showing as orderable
  3. Well if you've got the same problem with 2 points / motors then it's unlikely to be anything other than the wiring but without diagrams / photos it's difficult to say.
  4. So these are no good then (you don't say what gauge you're looking for) - https://railtec-transfers.com/catalog.php?search_str=structure+gauging
  5. With HLJ up and running and available for public viewing, you've got yourself one hell of a benchmark. Although as yours will be 'static' it may be slightly easier to build.
  6. If you look closely the paper is placed over points - and I'm guessing the OP is using Electrofrog points where L = Live and IS = Isolated
  7. You've just missed out on this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203818503929 But perhaps Silver Fox have more
  8. Here's one from India - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10514277/VIDEO-Motorcyclist-cheats-death-bike-hit-train-Mumbai.html
  9. Sage advice on this forum is always to consult with a qualified structural engineer
  10. Thanks for the suggestion - I was only looking at the A/S web site. However, Tulyar is sold out at Rails!
  11. Same for me - the all blue front-end looks too much like a 37. I'm starting to REALLY regret not placing an order when I had the chance. As both the purple & blue examples are all gone, I may have to plump for a green version.
  12. So how many times did you test it? e.g. car manufacturers have machines that will open / close doors thousands of times before they are signed off
  13. Something like this could be what you need - but they're not cheap - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372799960195?hash=item56cc9bf483:g:IpoAAOSw8Mxb~jPI
  14. Excellent condition - with a big crack at one end of the body. And the other end doesn't seem to fit the chassis properly.
  15. Somebody thinks they can get a little bit more - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154825114202?hash=item240c4bc25a:g:1DcAAOSwl~ph-D8R
  16. Now showing as sold out - wonder how many Class 55 purchasers took them?
  17. That was happening to me earlier this morning - and I couldn't reply to any threads. Both issues now resolved.
  18. So in this instance 'headcode panel' & 'tail lights' are the same thing? Does anybody know if using DCC enables setting the lights to red?
  19. Instructions say "DCC can also be configured to give constant brightness of the headcode panel and tail lights". Which prompted my question about the tail lights working without DCC but without constant brightness.
  20. Just taken delivery of my very first Heljan model - and a fine looking item it is. 33029 in DRS livery. But I have a question - am I right in saying you can only get red tail lights on if you run DCC? Instructions aren't all that clear (or at least to me!).
  21. Already got - KUA, 3 x PFA, 15 x PCA, 18 x PCV, 30 x PTA, 16 x JSA On order - 1 x 37, 1 x 92, 1 x TPE, 1 x CS (6 pack), 14 x HYA Buffers - 2 with lights, 2 without
  22. That's sweet & sour pork with egg-fried noodles round our way
