  1. All sorted and wagons on their way. Note to self for the future - always place pre-order items on separate orders.
  2. If you don't mind me asking, where are you with the pre-orders? Really looking forward to getting mine soon.
  3. 2 x RP42 Circuit Control Units - in original boxes
  4. If I elect to pre-order something and my basket shows a quantity of -129 does this mean the item is out of stock already? I'm looking at the Accurascale HYA exclusives. UPDATE - I've had a response from RAILS - these items are now available to order as all pre-orders have been satisfied. Error in quantity has been passed to their web team.
  5. You obviously didn't work out what the date was 20 days ago
  6. This announcement is 20 days too late
  7. I'm not a DCC user, but in either DC or DCC the more 'droppers' the merrier - on my layout (almost) each section of track has a dropper so I don't have to worry about connectivity relying on fishplates only. For DCC it might depend on whether you have electrofrog or insulfrog points as to whether power is available in the sidings at all times - I'm sure a DCC expert can advise.
  8. Simplest method is to use what's called DPDT (double-pole-double-throw) which are designated on-off-on - this will allow 2 controllers to be used. Then wire each controller to the outer connections, and connect the middle connections to each section of track. Then when the switch is in either of the 'on' positions only one of the controllers will power that particular section of track.
  9. Do a search, either in this forum or through a normal search engine, for Cab Control - as already mentioned.
  10. How easy is it to get a battery in? The PTA's were a struggle and I only managed to get 1 out of 3 in successfully.
  11. I can't wait to see a photo of both the boxes and loco's side-by-side - that's if anybody's been brave enough to order both
  12. Are they known as 'kilts' north of the border?
  13. IIRC from another thread, the A/S Porterbrook Class 55 is being delivered in a purple box. Not sure if the Network Rail Class 37 is in a yellow box
  14. Let's not forget all the other legacy & more recent players in the game - there's more than the 'red' & 'blue' box companies out there (can we now add yellow / purple boxes to the list to describe a manufacturer?)
  15. Special offer on Modroc - https://www.bakerross.co.uk/modroc-plaster-of-paris-bandage-rolls?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInJWf9ayB9wIVyuvtCh2_CAm1EAQYAiABEgIPQvD_BwE
  16. I've got 2 of 45039 The Manchester Regiment which are surplus to requirements - I'll be happy to let them go for similar price (each) inc p&p if you or anybody else wants them. Also got 2 Mainline Class 40 (D285) which I no longer use.
  17. I've used crepe bandage and wallpaper paste - easy to paint over once dry.
  18. A/S must be making too much profit if they can afford to send 2 parcels to the same address!
  19. A simple Google search throws up lots of examples - here's one -
  20. Well the answer is you don't have to make any changes but it helps if you do; i.e wire the frog to a switchable power supply and make alterations to the switch blades accordingly.
  21. Not really appropriate given what may or may not happen in Ukraine
