  1. What about the already-existing "The Great Australian Outdoors"?
  2. It won't, even then. AIUI, terminal velocity is 120 mph.
  3. I see train services between Norwich and Cambridge have been suspended as a result of this incident. That seems a tad unfair for the long-suffering train-travelling public.
  4. I don't want a DMU. I just wish someone would make an Electrostar.
  5. Would it have been possible to knock flats into those round bottoms with a lump hammer, to give them something to stand up on, or were the round bottoms too strong for that?
  6. Watch out; they'll be selling eggs, by the dixaine, soon. [sorry, dixaine is French for a group of ten items, just like our dozen is a group of twelve, or thirteen if you're a baker]
  7. My computer automatically changes to and from daylight saving time without my having to do anything. It knows what time zone I'm in, and the dates of the yearly changes. Nothing more needs adding. In any case, the switch to daylight saving time should be irrelevant from the point of view of file saving. The clock inside the computer ticks away to itself in UTC (Universal time) and your local time is only an offset from that, conversion to which is a piece of cake.
  8. It'd be nice if someone would make a model of an H tank to go with the birdcage coaches.
  9. Maybe you should click Friendly/Supportive.
  10. How can I work out which number mine should be? There is no number on the invoices (apart from the order reference, and that's different on both invoices)
  11. Wrens in my garden have built their nests under my garden layout.
  12. As someone whose health has gone downhill fast in the last year, I say the most important thing in life is staying healthy and maintaining the health of yourself and everyone else in your family. If that means that your hobby slows down, so be it. I also wish your wife well, and may she stay well for a long time.
  13. That would be good for keeping unemployment rates down.
  14. Actually, if you catch grey squirrels in a trap, it is illegal to let them go.
  15. I'm with you in not appreciating a super-detailed shiny new thing. If truth be told, I'd rather buy two or three equivalent "Railroad"-style models than one top-of-the-range expensive super-detailed model. After all, my model railway is only an impression of the real thing, and it can get by with all sorts of compromises. I want to run an 8-car train of 2HAPs, but I'm not going to buy one if the price is similar to what Bachmann are showing for that 2EPB. Bachmann, take note.
  16. The price for the 2EPB is ridiculous, considering it's just two coaches and a motor bogie.
  17. Yes, if they end up hard against a bridge.
  18. This looks like the rails will not support the wheel treads throughout the crossing, so I assume some running on the flanges would be necessary. Even though it's only a short distance I would have thought that the forces involved in that would be rather high and liable to cause the crossing to wear out rather quickly unless some form of lubrication was used.
  19. I've got a Dean Sidings Taff Vale 4-4-2 that needs a 14xx 0-4-2 chassis.
