  16. Cracking set of pics mike, and thanks for the WD!! Love the shot of it leaving the tunnel. I like the new lighting, looks like its starting to get dark and shows up all the lighting in the buildings, signal box etc to good effect. As you say, once you get sorted with camera settings it will be a lot easier. Cheers Ben
  17. Lovely bit a work there Al. Like the detail of the urinal! Another layout of yours i know, but I actually visited bakewell last week, had a family holiday in the Peak District, rented a cottage in a small village called milldale. Beautiful part of the country. Cheers Ben
  18. Hope yer treat us to some nice photos later mike,a WD for me please if yer taking requests??!! Lol Cheers Ben
  19. A couple of years ago i bought this Hornby farm house as i thought with a bit of painting/weathering it should look very settle & carlisle,West Yorkshire/cumbria....well hopefully! Cheers
  20. Havent done anything to the layout for a while due to work & family commitments but managed a couple of hours this morning on this bare section which is about 8 foot long. Excuse the mess!! Soldered the last 5 remaining droppers to the bus wire underneath the boards and gave the track a spray of sleeer grime. In the far corner im planning on having a small farm house/cottage to help break up the scenics. Cheers Ben
  21. Nice hide away. When we moved into this house 4 years ago,a neighbour told me theres a ww2 bomb shelter underneath the lawn in the back garden.... Curiosity got the better of me.....a few hours later...found it. The missus was fuming when she came home from work and id dug a massive hole right in the middle of the lawn that used to look like a bowling green. Ben
  22. Suppose how its probably your layout of a lifetime jeff, your right to build it with finescale so you'll always be happy with it. Rather than regretting it a few years down the line when its basically finished. Cheers Ben
  23. Hope its gone to a good home andy. So your wanting a layout so you can run your 9fs/8fs etc on long freight trains?.....time to build a settle & carlisle layout then! Good luck with the next build pal Cheers Ben
  24. Different subject jeff, and dont know if youve ever noticed it before?... But i always notice it when im heading back home from the Lake District as you pass under the bridge at kirkby stephen looking east, theres a pill box in a field. Not sure if youve got the space on the layout for it though? Quite unusual a pill box being so far away from the coast,if the nazis had ever invaded and got that far into england we would have been screwed! Cheers Ben
  25. My guess is snow jeff! But i'll wait till November before you tell me im right ha ha Cheers Ben
