  1. Used to like St Bruno, then Balkan Sobrani until I stopped fags and all in 2003, still have little bits of parts in the tins. Mike
  2. How on earth do these people have the cash to replace the rubber on these vehicles Kev, (although if you're that pissed you probably wouldn't care) I drive a Prado, I live on a dirt, corrugated, pot holed, gravel😬 road)( just had 4 tyres replaced......$1200 Bucks!! got to last me a few years🥺.........He shouldn't be driving for a long time. Mike

  6. Sorry, but off topic, does anyone know if the USA has hypersonic nukes?? Mike
  7. I moved to SA just over 20 years ago and having lived and worked in every State and Territory in this magnificent continent over the last 50 years plus, the SA drivers are possibly the worst......they just don't understand distance and the speed that other vehicles are travelling at!!. The police on the other hand are fantastic, they help you, nothing seems to be too much trouble, I just wish sometimes that their model should be what the rest of the South Aussies should follow...........rant over!!. Rgds........Mike
  8. Are you looking "H", with the fragility of modern stock, this just what is needed (probably wasting my time!!) great stuff Bachmann, I have always found their spares service very helpful even prior to seeing this site. Mike
  9. Love your comment, very funny (ha ha, not sarky😁) but as I said, they are not required........been replaced with Bachy Jubes and Hornby rebuilt Scots and Pats...................Also got some Aifix Scots and Fowler 0-6-0's that run fine but are very noisy. I need the storage space!. Mike
  10. I have quite a lot of Mainline locos which are not required, all but one that still work, not sure what to do with them, I know that at some stage they will fail, so I don't want to put them on EBay as in all conscience I don't want to burden a buyer especially with postage from Oz with something that may not last long......................Any ideas anyone?? Rgds........Mike
  11. I used to go to the Co-op barbers in Derby in the mid fifties accompanied by my dad, I think the price was 10 pence for me and one and three for dad. The barber would always ask "how would you like it", didn't really matter though as it would always end up as a short back and sides with some on the top!!..............Pretty much the opposite of what I've got today😢😢. Mike
  12. That is absolutely brilliant...........the Peaks as I remember them in the very late sixties, how on earth do you achieve that in N. Rgds..........Mike
  13. Do you generally build your own track, or could a complete novice like me have a go?. My experience is limited to a couple of P4 points that did work but that was almost 40years ago. My vision and dexterity have deteriorated since but double slips have always fascinated me..........sad I know!! Rgds.......Mike

  15. Big, big day for me today!!........Went down to mail today (17.5 Km round trip), in one of the big mail boxes were two chip pans, so I cooked myself fish and chips tonight😃, in my normal post box was the latest Scalefour News and in the other, was a copy of "The West Coast Main Line 1957-1962"...........and to top it all, Accurascale D9007 Pinza, what a model😂😂!!. Lots of bits to stick back on though. Mike
  16. Lovely images as always thanks, I always thought that there should have been far more of the V2's named as well as more of the B1's, as for 60700 and 70047 and some of the LMS Patriots...........don't get me started!!!! Rgds...........Mike
  17. Oh sh!t !!, one of those is not going to fit in my P.O. box!!😪😔 Miike
  18. Trouble was, Andy, it missed the plonker but did make somewhat of a mess of the Triang Jinty he was unboxing!! Mike
  19. No wonder my watch is never right!!🤨 Mike
  20. Being officially "elderly", I tried to find my order for my Deltic.........PANIC!!!!!, couldn't find it, my email records from 2018 were on my old computer which dropped from two storeys high on to a stone floor = total destruction!. Did I really order one or is my ancient bit of grey matter playing up. Decided to contact A/S. Within a short few hours a reply came back from Stephen McCarron, quoting the order number and advising that despatch would be within 48 hours. What lovely people, I know it shouldn't be but service like this is remarkable...........Thanks folks. Rgds........Mike
