  1. I am sure their is a Cure for that. Correction time. Except my mind missed a Easybeat.
  2. Will the sound file have a sample of the following for some added 80's vibes. Just spinning this and thought of both this thread and also seeing brand new 56's outside Doncaster works.
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-61465207 Glad she was able to visit. Would have loved to see the Royal Train pass through but suspect in 2022 the paper work to allow such a working would be enormous.
  4. I assume it will be escorted up the Channel by a couple of Napier powered patrol boats.
  5. A Audio related forum I am on the standing joke is the Runcorn Rivera.
  6. Yes some people would could find themselves in a right 8O08 State.
  7. Suspect its not the only Coldstream Guardsman going around with a broken nose.
  8. Try collecting records, thats even worse for late night impulse purchasing. And although often less the price of a 16t mineral wagon it can soon add up as does the beer/wine that caused the late night in the first place.
  9. Perhaps a bit too much white paint used for the water feature at the front, but the use of split wooden lolly sticks to make the headgear is very effective.
  10. If you have a free slot in your busy weekend you might want to see a film in Trafalgar Square for free. We are off to Mary Poppins tomorrow afternoon. Also if your on Hampstead Heath the fun fair is on this weekend. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/lets-do-london-back-to-the-big-screen-34161255523
  11. Yes it is, I grabbed the photo of Wikipedia and the caption stated Penzance.
  12. Perhaps you could put a model of the HST in Intercity/Aquafresh toothpaste livery in the window. Seriously though as others have said a very kind offer.
  13. Just working my way through this edition. Really enjoyed the Manchester Victoria/Exchange article as it used to be my regular haunt in the early 80's. Its clear now what I used to take for granted was in fact a fairly special location. I only saw the hive of activity on Platform 11 filling the newspaper trains once after a much delayed Merrymaker trip to Scotland and now regret not going back. The newspaper trains from Manchester would make a great article if not already been done.
  14. Hopefully being named after the electronic dance group featuring Dave Ball of Soft Cell.
  15. Have to agree, my dad also agrees and knew it well. I was brought up for 7 years in Middleton and used walk across the embankment trackbed to school (Moorclose) everyday.
  16. Found this in Google Maps on the Bath Road. Just south of the Concrete Factory. https://www.google.com/maps/@51.4792139,-0.5092155,3a,75y,37.86h,82.96t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sVb2qzv9mcNHeLjAvXEF8vA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 Hopefully of some interest. Its not a area I know but thought a quick look.
  17. They need to use a naked Pendolino next week, all that vinyl has to slow it down.
  18. Before you leave the train please remember to check for all personal belongings. Also please remove any discarded Sausage Oatcakes, black pudding, pies and brown Kendal Mint Cake. Stocks of Bru are available in the station.
  19. Not sure, but if they didn't a second bash next week is already booked. Suspect if they did they will pull that. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:S00619/2021-06-24/detailed
  20. A day off for me but sat on my arse doing the same. However also spinning some actual records as well.
  21. Found I couldn't click onto the next section on Opentrain times after the Carlisle section but found a link in the map section. Might be useful for others. https://www.opentraintimes.com/maps/signalling/carstairs
  22. I guess a banker won't be used up Shap as it would invalidate the record.
  23. Nearly time build our energy reserves with a bit of Kendal Mint Cake.
  24. We just have to hope it didn't pick up too many pies in Wigan.
