  1. Condition: Used “good condition, fully working” I think not.
  2. So good they named it 5 1/2 times!
  3. I've put 3-links on mine as it will be a fixed rake with Dinghams (Flippems) on the brake ends, except there are 4-links rather than 3 due to the long buffers!
  4. Ey up, Chuffers. Good to see a bit more progress.
  5. With my 6-wheelers the single and the double footboards are perfectly okay on my tightest curve - 24".
  6. Two identical posts from @Fishplate
  7. I use them a lot too. The sound for the 1P 0-4-4T is one of the best I've heard. Service is very good too. I get a 5% discount as a previous customer when I phone in an order, but don't tell everyone!
  8. Whose sounds are you using, Graham?
  9. I don't know if footboard removal has been covered before but there's a small cross-head screw at either end but the two middle supports are glued in place. I thin bladed scalpel inserted carefully between the footboard and the underframe with a slight twist will break the glue bond. In order to get the single footboard sitting straight it's was necessary, on mine, to straighten out the first fixing lug in from the left with a pair of piers. The end fixing screws are more than enough to hold the footboards in place.
  10. Mine needs renumbering to a local number.
  11. Took delivery of a parcel from Hattons today. I also got the final shop buildings finished. I am still not sure of the order they'll line up save for the Orme & Co. Boland Books reminds me of my old parish in Bowland which many locals called "Bolland", which it was known by in days of old. I don't know what the half-timbered property will become, a tea room?
  12. My 4 LMS coaches arrived today in good shape. Makes me want to re-livery my bogies to full lining but life's too short for me to do it and I don't have deep enough pockets to pay somebody to do it for me.
  13. And scrapped still wearing LNER livery too.
  14. Just had an email from Hats to say my 4 LMS coaches are on their way. Early Christmas present to self!
  15. On 28th November 1935 in Derwent Spa not much happened
  16. I would suggest grey for non VB vehicles. Very tired grey.
  17. Derwent shopper now have somewhere to buy their papers. The kit has a dormer window but I didn't think it looked right, too much of a post-war addition. I moved the fishmonger's as the newsagent building didn't look right overshadowing the hotel. Across from the upper goods yard. Across the platforms
  18. Good to hear from you, Chuffers. I hope all is well with you?
  19. Derwent now has a fish mongers on Station Road. The road slopes down to the right here so a hole was cut in the "road" and the building lowered in. It will need two more buildings before the level is met again. The terraced houses are just there for the photos. A view across the station platform.
  20. Graham, they don't need gloss underneath ordinarily. If the paintwork is very matt then a coat of gloss or satin varnish will help them stick.
