  1. @Les1952 Oh dear, that is bad Cheers, 60800
  2. Hi all, I'm not sure if it is just me having this problem, but I cannot order from the new Locomotion models website because it blocks the verified by visa service for my card. The new website is also extremely unfriendly for mobile users, with odd sizes for some pages and a feature whereby it's very difficult to scroll down pages as a single click anywhere near a product image whilst trying to scroll takes you to it's page. Is anyone else having these problems? Cheers, 60800
  3. An email went out yesterday to those of us on the mailing list for the Hunslet Bo-Bo stating the order book is now open. I'm very happy that 72 in her current guise has been chosen as I worked on her frames during her last major rebuild / overhaul. 79 'Big Keith' is a welcome choice too, it being the last one I worked on before I left. The ep samples shown look fantastic and I can't wait for my pair of 72 and 79 to arrive. Cheers, 60800
  4. I was hoping for a DB red 90, but after the recent price hikes I've ended up buying a railfreight grey one to spray instead - it cost me almost £100 less than this 90028. I know the buffers are the wrong type for DB on the first run railfreight grey example, but it's the easiest one to paint. Cheers, 60800
  5. Green Arrow now detailed, with etched plates added. I have left off the cab doors as they interfere with the tender ones that were pre-fitted; Cheers, 60800
  6. Not a new product suggestion, but I would like to see another production run of the GNR Single. I really, really regret not getting one and the eBay prices for them are just silly. Cheers, 60800
  7. Hopefully nobody has the trademark on that Cheers, 60800
  8. I thought my quota for gorgeous Scottish locos was filled with my Caley 828 that arrived yesterday. Looks like it's going to have a Highland shed mate! As much I like the green version, I made the logical choice (for me) of the preserved example, in that rather unique yellow. Echoing other's comments and joining the bandwagon - if this is the start of a line of pre-grouping Scottish locos encompassing the Glasgow collection and Caley 419, I think you'd be making a lot of people happy. Cheers, 60800
  9. Well that's the invoice for RSG through and paid. Should I get any further confirmation emails, or will that be it until the shipping date? Cheers, 60800
  10. Sorry I didn't see your reply - yeah I plan on toning down the wheels and motion from that 'museum finish' Interestingly, 60700's smokebox numberplate is displayed in the New Danum gallery in the same hall as Green Arrow. Cheers, 60800
  11. Hi Melmerby, it's the new Bachmann one. Cheers, 60800
  12. My 60700 arrived on Monday - no visual issues, but I haven't ran it yet. I couldn't resist doing this pairing, both locos ironically being my newest arrivals; Cheers, 60800
  13. I currently have an issue on the website where I can add one of the new items to my basket but my basket remains empty. I have to select to pre-order it from the search results page to actually order it. Cheers, 60800
  14. I never saw a full EMT set as a 'hired in' on the ECML, but I do recall in East Coast days seeing an East Midlands Pair with East Coast stock and an East Coast Pair on East Midlands stock on different occasions. Cheers, 60800 Edit; 43313 at York 07/06/14
  15. Looking at the new LNER farewell pair they can't even paint or number them right either. It is very worrying. Cheers, 60800
  16. Noted in the Hornby magazine video for the HST; New light clusters have been tooled, so it's possible we have the full midland and reduced midland (LSL) configurations available now. Both day and light modes for the headlights plus cab lights Rotating roof fans which use their own motor 21 pin decoder sockets Sugar cube speaker housing Cheers, 60800
  17. Where is 91119? I don't see it anywhere Cheers, 60800
  18. The new tooling for the HST looks to cover the the proper midland spec headlights. I really, really hope it does because that will be the icing on the cake for the EMT pair. I have ordered this but can get away with not buying the coaches as they'll be hired PC's on LNER stock. Cheers, 60800
  19. Thanks for your kind comments Ian. I hope you enjoy your V2 as well. I just wish it wasn't as expensive as it was, otherwise I would have had both versions. Cheers, 60800
  20. As far as I'm aware, the other LNER releases have the shiny motion too - although it might just be the pre-production samples. I get that they were going for a museum finish with Green Arrow but it is a little too stark - nothing a quick oil wash won't fix though. Cheers, 60800
  21. I'm glad you've said this Andy as I didn't feel comfortable doing it myself, or speaking up first. This model has taken a lot of petty bashing from people who clearly have never intended to buy it in the first place. A lot of the comments right from the first ep have been from modellers I used to respect - modellers I know have sunk countless hours into perfecting their own V2 projects or have paid through the nose to have a kit built. I honestly think some of them would be happier if a new V2 didn't exist, and that's a very sad thought. As is the usual thing, people are picking at the small points and basing their opinions on photos instead of the model in hand. The valve gear is very nice, it just needs toning down. My sole valid criticism of this model is that the DCC sound versions are sold 'unheard' - there has been no preview of the quality of the sound project at all that I am aware of and I was not willing to sink an extra £100 into an unknown quantity like that. Cheers, 60800
  22. For those waiting for their V2's to arrive - they are well worth the wait. Most of the issues mentioned are easily fixable if they bother you - And the cab? Well honestly I'd rather have a slightly chunky cab front than any of the issues I've had with Hornby releases from the past two years. Cheers, 60800
  23. 60800 landed today. Very happy with it - not yet fitted the nameplates and front end gubbins but it's already sat in pride of place next to my chunk of coal from 60800's tender from my first mainline steam trip two decades ago. Cheers, 60800
  24. Hi @McC I did wonder if that would be the answer. Thankyou for your reply anyway Cheers, 60800
  25. I was rather surprised to log on this morning and see that there are some DCC ready editions of RSG now available, especially since there were none by the time I saw the post when the extended run announcement was made last week. Since DCC sound was available for a short while, I wonder if people have upgraded from DCC ready orders? Regardless I am grateful RSG is available again and I've just put my order in. @Accurascale Fran Do you know how much allocation of Tulyar is left please? I was going to order that but RSG took precedence! Cheers, 60800
