  1. I'm right chuffed I started a conversation. I, honestly, am not an expert on the 0-8-0 Sentinels. The idea just popped into my head. Mike, if you are doing a kit of the Steel 0-8-0, I'll have to start another warchest as well as the warchest for the Dorman Sentinels. Regards, from a wet Manchester, chillin' with my cats, Chris.
  2. Tony Hammond made some great brass kits for this stock. I have the lounge brake running on my line. Looking forward to seeing this built. Regards, Chris.
  3. Looks good. I've got a couple on order for Manchester steel. The devil in me wonders if you could make an 0-8-0 version by 'bashing' two of them. 8-coupled outside cranks? OH MY YES. As usual, your wagon building is a source of inspiration. Regards, Chris.
  4. Great to see a model of Harvester other than mine. She was the only A3 I saw, right at the end of her life and covered in muck. Still remember that. Lovely model, Regards, Chris.
  5. The cornflake train was a favourite. I have shots of the Sentinel pair hauling that and of a solo Hudswell in the snow too. I never managed to get shots of the 'liner train down Barton Dock Road, that was the one that got away. The tyres on the wheels of those Irlam diesels look extremely thin! I have no idea who made those, I know Yorkshire Engine Co delivered some gorgeous big Saddle Tanks. Those two don't look like YE products. Great set of shots. Regards, Chris.
  6. They are still touring. Still superb, see them if you get the chance. Regards, Chris.
  7. Two Baby Deltics and two cursed North British Bo Bos? The poor shed foreman has got his hands full. Great videos as always, Regards, Chris.
  8. My first Brush 4 was at Sheffield Victoria in the 60s. Dad and I had travelled over there behind an EM2 to see if we could see 'Falcon'. We did see an EE Type 1, my first. Regards, Chris.
  9. Once again, Dave, you are proving you are the Mercian Master. That's a lovely bit of kit. Regrds, Chris.
  10. Mike is one of my oldest and dearest Friends. He is my Obi Wan in all sorts of model railway stuff. His signals are superb! Regards, Chris.
  11. Were the wagons left uncovered? Carrying pit props in rain like this would allow moisture to seep into the props. Chris.
  12. Respect and love to Clive. Get well soon. Love and Hugs from me. Chris.
  13. First production Deltics I saw were unnamed. At Wakefield with my Dad. He'd mucked up the venue for a model railway exhibition and we ended up at the LNER Wakefield station. A marvellous experience. I'd never heard anything like that in my short life! Great video, as always. Regards, Chris.
  14. The BIG one that wasn't preserved! One of my favourite Diesel locos. I'm sad, I have three different variations of the Heljan model. My Q Kits Falcon, which was finished by my Dear Friend Coachbogie, now, has pride of place in retirement. chris.
  15. Beggar, you are quite right. Consider my wrists slapped. Chris.
  16. Interesting you have a shot of the 'Hornby Peckett'. Do you know what date that is? You've got a 'Dazzler' and a standard Long Tank too. Great shots. Regards, Chris.
  17. Love a big tank engine. The L1's took over the sburban services from Manchester Piccadilly from the A5's. Both make an appearance at Manchester Oldham Road. Great video once again. Regards, Chris.
  18. That track plan makes my mouth water. This is a trainset I'd love to play with! The shed is gorgeous. That Hornby shed really works. Regards, Chris.
  19. Gresley Junction shed foreman. "You've come up driving what!! Right, you can get back in it and beggar off back down south, I'm not risking that in my shed!" I think it's a good model. It could have been worse, it could have been an 8400! Regards, Chris.
  20. Saw the origional Deep Purple line up at the Free Trade Hall, in the 70s. I had a headache for four days afterwards and I'm certain that was the start of my slight tinitus! Regards, Chris.
