Dapol Dave is obviously best placed to answer but I would have thought Dapol's release plans will be unaffected. Hopefully Dapol Dave's replacement will continue to engage RMwebbers in development of the items.
For anyone interested in the RfD Class 47, pictures are available on the Rails of Sheffield site. A cursory glance suggests Bachmann have got the livery correct, following their changes to the colours:

Looks a superb quality DMU. Are you still planning on the Provincial and Regional Railways liveries, even if subject to sales of the initial batches? Thanks.
And when weathered up, Vitrains 47s certainly do look the part:

But so can the Bachmann one . . . with a black headcode panel:
When released, I think the marker lights were considered to be the weakest part of the Bachmann Class 47 (forgetting temporary use of Class 57 parts on some of the earlier models). It actually depends what livery you buy. I went with the Intercity liveried "Titan" in part because the black surrounds make the marker lights look fine (isn't black slimming or something?!).
This was the best picture I could find to allow a direct comparison of the front ends of 47715 with John Upton's picture above:

Not one of mine and this probably features elsewhere on the site, but well worth repeating here. The excellent Pempoul Reseau Breton:

I've not come across this website before and it has some excellent pictures. The first page has several Westerns, so I'll put the link in this thread: http://www.dieselimagegallery.com/gallery/1-0-1the1960s.html
For anyone interested in the RfD livery Class 47, 47365, Bachmann have now amended the original incorrect livery: http://www.Bachmann.co.uk/image_box.php?image=images1/branchline/32-816.jpg&cat_no=32-816&info=0&width=650&height=215
Excellent picture of D601 passing Langstone Rock, Dawlish Warren just added to Flickr. Don't think I've ever noticed telegraph poles in photos of this oft-repeated location: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cornish_railways/8737350229/
Not quite sure where to put these videos to give them the maximum exposure they deserve, but with 85s present, this popular thread seems like a good place. No sound on these but well worth watching:
Is it the Schafbergbahn in Austria, featured in Michael Portillo's Great Continental Railway Journeys? I seem to remember some stunning scenery on the route.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Class 121 in the white-with-blue-stripe livery:
