Not sure if this has been posted in the last 47 pages, but loads of excellent Western pictures here: http://classictractionimages.weebly.com/class-52-westerns.html About a quarter of the way down the page, there's one of a Western hauling a Pullman set in reverse blue/grey livery in 1971. And there's this site for anyone who hasn't seen it. Worth a look through the links for various pictures: http://westernloco.com/
  2. Some info on Clapham Junction signalboxes here: http://www.wbsframe.mste.co.uk/public/Clapham_Junction_A.html http://www.wbsframe.mste.co.uk/public/Clapham_Junction_B.html http://www.wbsframe.mste.co.uk/public/Clapham_Junction_C.html
  3. Another couple of shots of the Class 73 at Saltley shown in the link in post #98, with some information: http://www.flickr.com/photos/65532931@N05/6005092741/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/67444577@N02/6905449975/ And another pair off their normal route: A Pair of ED's From Birmingham by D1059, on Flickr

  6. Legomanbiffo (an RMweb member under the same name) is now doing a Class 205 sound chip, via DC Kits: http://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/shop/dcc_digital_loco_sounds/diesel_electric_digital_loco_sounds_includes_the_all_new_xl_v4_decoder_/class_205_2h_hampshire_unit_thumper_legomanbiffo_new_project.php I have a couple of his sound decoders and they are good. He is also very helpful if you need any advice about them. If you contact him, I'm sure he would happily upload a video to YouTube of the sounds as he has put many of his on there.

  9. I hope that's the price of the O gauge one you're talking about and not the OO gauge one!
  10. A less positive take on "the human side of the railway":
  11. This is worth repeating from http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/50755-little-known-class-73-livery-1967/ E6018 Clapham Junction 7/9/1967 by Glevumblues, on Flickr And seen at Hither Green: http://wmbusphotos.com/Trains/class73/73112.html
  12. Another Class 73 a long way from home, for those who need an excuse to buy one: http://wmbusphotos.com/Trains/class73/73106.html Well worth having a look around the rest of that website as well.
  13. Details now on Hatton's website. Personally pleased to see DCC lighting option: http://www.ehattons.com/stocklist/results.aspx?searchfield=Bachmann 2f
  14. Reading through the comments below the photo, someone says "That sometimes happens when a colour neg is scanned to positive black and white, but only strongly noticeable in anything yellow". Looks like it was just the photo process.
