  1. How about large logo blue 🤔 though an unrebuilt loco might be better 😜
  2. That's ok I'm sure there's a command to turn that system off so I can do my job. I'm sure lots of signalmen would be more than happy to sit back and let the system do all the work for them and then just blame the system when something is done wrong (they don't already do that where ARS is active honest cough cough). Don't know if ARS is used abroad but if so we might get "ARS the European edition"
  3. The sidings weren't in regular use at that time just wagon storage. I seem to rember they wanted the bogies off the wagons for reuse and I'm quessing it saved a lot of work putting them across the rails rather than making sleeper piles to balance them on.

  5. Tried this business of holding trains to time once, more bloody stressful than pulling off and keep them moving regardless 🙃
  6. They are saracen armoured personel carriers. Part of the Alvis 6 wheel drive family of military vehicles.
  7. Quite happy with the route as any other route wouldn't have got to see them past the WMSC👍
  8. Well I'm not sure what has been changed but I can now access the prototype forum while signed in. So now for a backlog of unread contents lol. Thank you for the help in this matter
  9. Using android on phone just in case that makes a difference. Tried on incognito window and signed in on the main forum list still got the unable to message. Signed out on incognito and normal browser cleared everything. Then tried to go to the prototype forum and got in straight away. Then logged in on the prototype forum and after pressing sign in it came up straight away saying unable to..... So works fine not logged in. Sorry if it's something stupid I'm doing /not doing and thanks for your time
  10. Hi I have the same problem unfortunately. I've deleted history etc but it's made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  11. Durrants thank gawd for that its been bugging me since it was mentioned lol
  12. Yes thats correct, where possible if it won't cause delay i try to get the bank engine away to landor Street before the last train its just banked sits waiting for relief. Must of spoke to you last night as had the pleasure of working kingsnorton last night.
  13. certainly a quirky unit to drive, not going to win any speed contests up the lickey that’s for sure! You'll be doing well to get up the Lickey at any speed. When we are on Bromsgrove panel we just hope the tanks are nearly empty cos full tanks equals a very good chance of over heating and a chat on the phone with the driver.
  14. I've passed over your "level crossing" many many times lol. Only problem with your station site is a bit of a walk to the Kangaroo for refreshments . About 30 years ago some friends of mine from the railway club at craven Arms made individual layout that could be joined together to represent the CVR. I know the 1 end station was clun then clunton was the join between but for the life of me I cant remember where the other end represented. I spent many hours running the clun end at local exhibitions. The station was based in a field a stones throw from where I grew up. My dad might have some pictures of it. Im about 1/2 way though this thread and I'm so impressed with what I've seen so far. The bridge area is great and your buildings are fantastic. After the first mentions of signalling I cant wait to see what you end with (professional interest )
  15. As someone born and bred in Clun I'm glad I've finally found this thread (dont always look at the layout section otherwise I'd be here all day) so have a few pages to work thro but so far it looks blooming good. Keep up the good work. Over the years I've thought about making a CVR inspired layout but hey ho.
  16. Carrog I think is my favourite heritage station. Well at least its the 1 where id like to a signalman on a summers evening with a pannier shunting the sidings then waiting for a passenger train to pass headed by a manor, before the pannier heads off with a rattle of 3 link couplings and squeals off the wagons. Sorry went of in a day dream there
  17. I still think its mad that what ever common model railway scale we deal with its Xmm to the foot. But then 2mm to the foot or 4mm to the foot makes some sense when it comes to 9, 6 and 3 inches but 3.5 and 7mm to the foot??

    On Cats

Here is our gorgeous but cantankerous old lady Lulu. She's a rescue cat who's 18/19ish I've had her for 15 years, and in last 2 years after never bringing us presents has turned into an accomplished mouser much to the horror of my partner. As to the trains shes not bothered by them unless using the sound when she just get up and walks off in disgust.
  19. Hi Great pics thanks for posting Any idea what the vehicle on the blocks behind 26027 is.
  20. At least the flower shop should come up smelling of roses
  21. After having chance to look at the model today I would say it's superb apart from a couple of minor niggles ( I won't comment on body being right etc as I don't know if it's right or not) 1st there s no instructions for mounting the headcodes discs or buffer detail. Not a great problem if u have access to pics I suppose but could catch 1 or 2 out e.g. disc folding to the side not up like a cl20. Also disappointed that there 7 open and only 3 closed discs. Ok not a problem if u have a spares box, or feel comfortable cutting a full 1 in half I suppose. Also that the closed discs are painted white not yellow or green as per body colour surely it wouldn't of cost a huge Amount to supply 8 closed discs (either all green or 2 green,6 yellow depending) that way u won't have to try matching the factory colour. The supplyed hook for the 3 link seem a tad to big and fouls on the bottom of the cab front which would make things a bit difficult in real life. (Again having a spares box comes in handy) While there is a fine mesh scavenger fan grill there's no (on mine anyway) fan under it and u can see the wires for the lights through it. Now of course I don't know if this is just missing on mine or an ommision in general as I take it the speaker would sit on chassis under the grill. So perhaps some one could comment if theirs has 1. Thank you Dapol for finally producing this class and can't wait for the 29s to follow.
  22. Well it's been 9 years of waiting but thanks to excellent service from hattons I now have what I think will be the first of many class 21s waiting to go through the works for detailing and weathering
  23. Why not just start the auction for £80 if that's the minimum he'd take, seems the obvious thing to do. Can't see the point of starting for peanuts then throwing your dummy out cos you got less than u wanted
