Are they lights you buy in or make yourself. Are they available to purchase separately? Could use a few sets. Thanks. On another note loving the model of 37114, just another reason to pull my finger out and get a layout built.

A couple of steel trains passing Severn bridge junction box Shrewsbury. Still seems strange seeing green locos on the front. Taken by signalman Baker

New Kernow Hornby limited editions..
Gareth 73 replied to adb968008's topic in Kernow Model Rail Centre
As the dcr/network rail version don't interest me I hadn't come across the bi colour marker lights but snipping the white wire to each light box while putting a sound chip in sorted ot quick and easy. Like the idea of the TOILET PACK or some more Dutch ones as saw plenty go past my signal box 20 odd years ago. -

Recieved my RTC 31 yestereday and it looks the business apart from 1 thing. The tail lights on each end light up white when running forward. now i didint think they were suppose to do this so was wondering if they had been modified by the RTC on the real 97204. if not i can easy rectify this when i take it apart to add sound chip. but it does look a little strange. Thank for any help Gareth -

How many members work (or worked) on the Big Railway?
Gareth 73 replied to E3109's topic in Wheeltappers
That will have been Norman in Crewe bank box I'm guessing, he was very skilled and I spent ages learning the box so he could crack on with his modelling. When I worked at Marshbook box I had a visit from the district inspector who's first words on entering was " me it looks like Crewe works in here". Well there were a few locos been worked on at the time. Now I'm stuck in the WMSC no real chance to do any of that. -
Barnt Green to Bromsgrove Electrification
Gareth 73 replied to melmerby's topic in UK Prototype Questions
All 4 platforms are wired and live tho what use platform 4 will be is anyone's quess. U can put a unit on there but no way of signalling it back to Brum. For the sake of a bit of wire out to the slow beyond 3/4 where there's a gpl to set back into 3. Oh well yet another lost opportunity with bromsgrove but a chance to take bets which signalman will cock it up (prob me) -

Thats the best laugh ive had for ages when it comes to signalling projects. What about the highly trained and highly experienced end users of said systems ( i means signallers and drivers in case there was any doubt) there seems to be precious little interface with them when it comes to what needs to, rather than what can be.Just my view with 25 years of signalling systems experience, using not designing that is.

Heres 37 601 passing the WMSC in brum this afternoon on 5Z70 seconds after this pic was taken it failed and had to be diverted on to the slow lines at washwood heath -
SDJR7F88 In ref to your running probs it looks almost like the wheels arnt quarted correctly as it stops in the same place of revoloution. A bit more power over comes the binding hence running at higher power settings. Just my thoughts tho

Bromsgrove Lickey Incline Question
Gareth 73 replied to D854_Tiger's topic in UK Prototype Questions
Well at the moment the bank aint busy with trains day or nite so that aint an issue. When the electrics have to start off the staion on a single yellow in leaf fall then it ll be busy. -

Out onto the mainline and a walk back to put the ground frame back to normal and shut the gates Im surprised u dont go onto the neck at washwood then drop back after youve shut the gate. Quite often we are asked by drivers bringing locos in or out of the hac to do that. Keeps the down goods free as well, not that theres a huge problem blocking it these days with the lack of run rounds. -
