  1. The indent could be a watering hole, and the whole track....which is his test area.....would need ballast etc. 3975 3974 The board the foam is sat on is loose and can be lowered.
  2. I don't normally do long photographs showing off the'messy' bits. But the back ground behind the tracks i had in mind is not deep enough for a fence and the animals even if they hug the wall. So I had to consider a home for them. Then I thought the place where Kal and I sit at the control area is just a dumping area at the moment and I can easily add a lift in lift out piece. And there is still scenery from hen this was the MDF area. 3983 This piece was made as a testing area. To the left is the Sheffield Park / Bluebell area. To the far right Goathland. From left to right there is 4ftx2,i.e. the whole table is 8ft.......Kal has not seen this development....
  3. There is loads of spoilers in the back ground as I tend to paint in batches.
  4. the head of the herd was calling!!!! 3970 3971 3973 3976
  5. To Bombay.......A travelling circus came........ I like the graffiti on the wall as well.....well I would hehe......
  6. You probably already saw these in the back ground, and as I wasn't certain of the colours and adjusted as I went thee is not much on the build up. an interesting fact is...the base colour is human flesh. 3959 3941 3880 AND somewhere in the box is a Bedouin who rides him....which would be cool for either A selling rides in a Safari.... or a Circus act.
  7. LOL, we are all often in the position where we wonder if we have put our foot in it....I just admired a wagon on Blueeighties thread, only for him to point out that it was one sent in by a customer for a repaint!!!!!!!! Oops, I still admire it, and I follow Blueeghties thread because I love going and seeing what he can do to improve railing stock. I still think the one in question is nice, and won't be at all surprised in Blueeighties efforts are really good. The thing is in this game a lot of it is about opinion, and we do not all think the same, I am sure a vast majority of the railway modelling fraternity think Im as nutty as peanut brittle, what with my graffiti wall, zoo animals, clowns, dogs..... etc etc. The thing is I enjoy myself, and don't take myself seriously......I will also pull the leg of friends....and they will get their own back.......won't they Sasquatch ROFL....... You don't have to know everything, you don't have to get everything right, you just have to be willing to have a go and enjoy yourself and if you improve as you go? BONUS!!!!
  8. Oh, and in case anyone thinks i'm being 'funny', I follow this thread because I admire the work here.
  9. J.H.C. (sorry for blaspheming) I though that WAS the real thing for a second!!!!!!!!
  10. ethanolproducer.com I found this one quickly enough, I have to say I still think it good, although that is only my opinion.
  11. I really like the clock tower, initially i preferred the higher one, but as your idea progressed it does have better proportions. The idea was a always that it could be seen from the ground level and the buildings. I particularly like the copper top which has now got a soft green corroded finish. I think, but am not sure, that they usually had a lightning conductor. lovely piece of modelling. It also 'fits' with the atmosphere of the nearby buildings.
  12. You are another person who has a realistic looking layout, can you take some closer pictures, avoiding seeing the outer area where the layout is sighted. The larger ones do tell how you are getting on, and I like them, but I think you are at the stage where you can confuse people into thinking it is the real thing. As you also benefit from natural sunlight, some dusk ones with the lights on would be interesting......hopefully not being too pushy.
  13. I sympathise with 1. the carpet monster......ggggrrrrrrrrrr and 2. the avoiding getting bored..... Have you considered working in a tray with lipped sides?
  14. I like the way you have recessed the windows. The extra effort pays off. Clearly this will be a detailing project, as you inside is all nicely finished and painted. mine tend to look very haphazard inside.
  15. Jaz

    BITTON

Would love to see this in minute detail as you sort the join.
  16. You are not the first person to notice this ......but I do have a response........ 1173
  17. sorry for the belated response ...but I particularly like this one you have done
  18. Well I have no idea....as I have no idea what they have in side the shed. It just doesn't seem very secure. Although they clearly have their priorities, as breaking into the signal box would take some doing.
  19. It's not a problem, I have found since using these that I have much more control over the tip of the 'brush' for better detailing and have promoted them on several occasions here and on other thread and in pms. I think them well worthy of a bit of plugging, and have seen them on display at many shows. Never rub them hard, it takes the tips off, i dip them in eater then twist them over toilet paper to clean them, and even if you leave the paint on....oops....they can still be used. It gives a different technique / finish but still has a purpose. I believe everyone that has tried them has found they have a use.
  20. I particularly like the water scenes....they are fantastic reference. hope you don't mind me adding this one, but you reference pictures will be very helpful when i do an update here to bed the boat in better 3918
  21. I agree this picture would make a fantastic background scene. I wonder if you should consider going through the photographs and checking out ones like this and the landscapes which might have a commercial potential.
  22. Ellie the Elephant..... the babys 3876 the dad my brother used to paint loads of Roman figures this would have had a box on top with archers but is long gone now 3877 I could just tear the cloth off...... BUT I want my animals for The Safari area where the trains run past, and the cars drive trough ........I want the animals for the Circus....... Basically I want my cake and eat it...... And as you can see I can cheat on the photo.... Here ii is not obvious there is even a cloth on his back 3944
  23. I use micro brushes 10 for 1.99£ and they last for ages. I still have the original pack and have had them for like a year. My are still unused. https://www.expotools.com/acatalog/10-x-Fine-45701.html
  24. As these are now often pets, I think the coats look more like buffed poodles, when in the wild i suspect they look more lie straggly sheep or goats making the Airfix model with the long dangly fur not a bad model. also rotoendomomentoes.blogspot
