  1. I recently ordered a book for my daughter which never came. They claimed it was returned to them too damaged to resend, and they were now out of stock of it, which was odd, as they seemed to have 2 in stock. Didn't argue, just got them to refund, and ordered it from elsewhere for the same price.
  2. I'm speechless (for a change) : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MODEL-RAILWAY-TRI-ANG-OO-GAUGE-CORRIDOR-BRAKE-COACH-SNOW-WEATHERED-IN-VGC-/262669017023?hash=item3d284b1fbf:g:7IQAAOSw8w1X~M0R
  3. Modern ones are just plastic tat inside, nasty harsh lighting, uncomfortable. Persuaded me to buy a car and abandon the rails many years ago.
  4. Don't remember any accessory pack. Pipes were fitted to both ends I think, as is usual for Heljan these days.
  5. Should have gone to Perrygrove, 6 locos in steam.....didn't take many pics, as was guard on the mixed train.
  6. Don't forget the Perrygrove Gala and Keef Open Day as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDYTM_uABHc
  7. Indeed, had just paid for mine this pm, and it was due out tomorrow...
  8. Derails of Coleford are still taking orders. I was talking to Dan last week, and have since placed a deposit for the biscuity one
  9. They posted on Facebook last Friday that they had spent more time answering calls chasing orders than actually packing locos last week. So they are strongly encouraging people NOT TO CALL unless you need to update details: "USA Tank Update - so hot off the press it missed the newsletter! The current position is 1st sweep completed on MR-101, MR-102, MR-107, MR-108. 1st sweep in progress on MR103 and MR-104, Yet to be delivered MR-105, MR-106, MR-109 and MR-110. There are more orders outstanding for MR-103 (about 20% processed so far) and MR-104 (about 10% processed so far) than all of the remaining USA Tanks combined and it will take us a while to get through them. The 1st sweep is where we process as many orders as quickly as possible, which means skipping any orders with invalid or expired card details for example. On the 2nd sweep we then take each order in turn and contact the customer to update card details. We do it this way to get through the orders as quickly as possible - it takes four times as long to process an order with an invalid card compared to an order which has no issues. Unfortunately we have struggled to make progress in the last week as we have spent more time answering phone calls and emails asking about the status of orders than we have actually spent processing them! We know everyone is keen to get their model and we are also keen to process them as quickly as possible. Our staff have been working many extra hours and we have also had temporary staff helping with the packing. It would really help us if you don't phone or email just to check on your order. However, if you know your card has expired since you placed your order please DO call us and update this. If you don't call us this is not a problem as we will call or email you in due course. Thanks for your assistance!"
  10. Popped up yesterday PM. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Had a chat to TTI Derails Dan at Parkend whilst waiting for a shoal of dogfishes to arrive behind the McRat. I'm sure the 26 people have previously said that there is a prototype for one in this livery variation, though I think it was quite rare and short lived.
  11. Bought an NSE 47, a mug and a couple of DVDs from you recently. Thought I recognised the KWVR Gala I bought a DVD of, and then saw myself in it, twice, which was a bit scary. I looked quite young in 1988
  12. Were there really only 502 "Full fat" SECR C class produced? It would explain why they go for very high prices on ebay.
  13. Oh, it's Alum Bay sand. I thought it was a wobbly piece of Battenburg.......
  14. Mech Navvies has the same. No I don't know what the black panel is either.....
  15. Which shade of Hornby or Bachmann BR blue? There are several (eg Bachys 37254 is much greener than 40075), and Heljan's are different again. Do agree that the Dapol 73 was far too purple though.
  16. We've got one! It's called "Rosie", which is my daughters name
  17. Posted, 48hr tracked... I go on holiday on Friday.....should be here before then.....
