  1. Just arrived now 9:30. Knackered. Waiting for taxi downstairs. Enjoy your flight and have a successful trip. Robert
  2. Thanks for info, I’ll be arriving in 8hours or so!
  3. One ( or two) for @jjb1970 and anyone else that likes the A380. Mine’s at the gate opposite.
  4. I’m up and paying attention. Last year I looked into getting an ev van for the business.. Though it’s on the road most of the day it probably does less 60 miles a day and we can park it up for the night outside the building and can easily fit a charging point. The diesel version of the van we’d be buying is £17k and the ev version is £27k and I’m not sure the numbers stack up. Things have moved on and my situation has changed. The running out of ‘ juice’ is something that would really stress me so at the moment I think our next car which shouldn’t be far away willl almost certainly not be an ev. Breakfast had, hopefully more sleep.
  5. Been doing a bit of shopping with swmbo recently and they appear to be in fashion at the moment, well in the woman's department anyway.
  6. And you got paid as well???????
  7. Our pre-cruise logistics not going too well, been to Meadowhall three times in the last week and have lost count of the number of parcels that have been received (and returned).
  8. ‘I know where the keys are!’ ‘ So who’s driving me or you ?’
  9. This is exactly the what I’ve been considering. When a vet looks into your pets eyes does he see what you see? I just don’t know. It’s late and getting a bit morbid so I wish you all goodnight. Robert Hovis catching up with her beauty sleep.
  10. Even though Hovis is only five years old this is something that has given me much to think about. Does the vet really know how much your pet is suffering? I think the vet may give his advice but only you really know your pet .With Hovis it’s ultimately my decision. Perhaps we’ll be lucky and wake up one morning to find our pet has moved on to pet heaven.

  14. Morning All, After a bit of negotiating with black dog a visit to Pontecarlo and a possible chinwag with @Barry O is a distinct possibility. Bettergerramoveon. Dont like my scrambled eggs ‘sloppy’. Robert
  15. Afternoon All, Just about recovered from yesterdays expedition. Set off at 10.00am and arrived home at 7:30pm but managed a trip to the local Boundary Mill store as well. Meadowhall is tedious but Boundary Mill is on another level. Only clothes, soft furnishing and houseware. Today as Fox Valley, more shopping. Trying to find summer clothes for a walkabout in January ain't easy.

  18. Morning All, Going to be a long day. Should be visiting a museum in York today with a friend but unfortunately he’s not up to it so a visit to Meadowhall (shopping centre) is a poor replacement. A look around the house yesterday revealed some cladding and associated lighting has be ‘ripped’ of the underside of a canopy in the back garden. I think that is a repair job that can wait until spring time as I’ve got plenty to keep me occupied and I’ve secured what remains A few phone calls, emails, a chat with friends and a visit to the old lady across the road completed yesterday’s activities. Breakfast had so back to the pit and hopefully some sleep.
