  1. Mil is on top form, I don’t think I’ve got enough Old Speckled Hen to get me through. SOS - SEND OLD SPECKLED
  2. Apparently they do, well by the time I got to the kitchen they were already peeled. More importantly, MERRY CHRISTMAS Robert
  3. Sounds are coming from the kitchen, I think I’d better make an appearance, sprouts don’t peal themselves!
  4. Morning All, Sleep is still very erratic and don’t think I’ve had much since getting my breakfast at 2.00am. Seems a bit hot n the bedroom but hat might be me as I’ve had theses sniffles for three weeks now. Been busy since our return from the land down under, break in at work, looking after Syd, entertaining mil does some festive shopping and coping with jet lag. Took eldest nephew to football match yesterday and saw our team finish with a lucky win topped off with an incredibly skillful (or luck) goal. Eyelids feeling heavy so I’ll try again for a bit of sleep. Rbert
  5. Thousands are sailing. The Pogues
  6. I was told they wear them in the rain as its more comfortable than wearing wet full length trousers.
  7. The killing moon. Echo and the Bunnymen
  8. Awake at silly o’clock. I think my body clock had just about got back to normal but yesterday’s early start has confused things. Arrived home at lunchtime but just as I was about to have 40 winks the phone rang and I had to go back to work. Arrived home again at 4ish to find we had a ‘welcomed’ visitor who stoped for a couple of hours after which it was time for the nephew to have their tea. Anyway didn’t get to bed until 9 but awake again by 2 and the hoolie outside isn’t helping. Just had breakfast and think I’d better try for some sleep. Oh did I tell you the palaver I had getting by van MOTed, no, we’ll never mind, it’s not important now.
  9. Happy Birthday 60103, hope you gave a good ‘un
  10. Morning All, At work early, 1:30am due to unwanted guests. Still here waiting for relief and some one to come and repair hole on roof. Going to be another long day.
  11. Why not treat yourself to a day or short break away? What about the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull (can’t be that far away from Bear Towers) or even the NRM in York? I’m sure there’s other things out there that might be of interest. (Come on ERs let’s get some more ideas out there for Bear) Give the templot activity a break, a solution may drop in to the Beary bonce when least expected.
  12. Morning All, Been back from my holiday at the bottom of the world a couple of days and just about got my body clock in sinc with the world outside. Looks like I’ve missed about 70 pages of postings so I’m not going to have time to catch up. Therefore I hope all are well and no one has had a catastrophe. Had a good time and did plenty of touristy things, even went on a steam train ride! Stack of work to do now and the sale of Mums house and old business premises are due by the end of the month.(Didn’t have a buyer when I left). A visit to Newark on the cards for today as it will be eldest niece’s 21st birthday at the end of the week so we’re having a bit of a bash. Have a good day.
  13. Very late to te the conversation but when a student I used to drink regularly in a pub frequented the the Shipley chapter. Either they were very poor motor cyclists or the were always in trouble as often members would turn up on crouches or with other impediments.
  14. Think this may be a Holden EJ Special, seen in a Dunedin museum. ( Cant recall the caption)
  15. Give the man a cigar. Its Devonport, just across the bay from Auckland . Sorry for the delay, but here’s another pic. This time Christchurch. Got a pic of the 420 but thats still on my camera. Seen a couple of utes today as well as a very throaty Holden.
  16. Now now, with comments like that you’re going to get ERs locked!
