  1. Haha if all my stock was magically re-wheeled over night I’d consider it but I like getting things out of the box and plonking them on the track 😂 Paul
  2. Thankfully my seven days of early’s are over so a bit of modelling time tonight. The catch point is more or less finished, just need the slide chairs fitting so u can now turn my attention to wiring it all up and fitting the cobalts. Paul
  3. Midway through a week of early’s means not much modelling as I’m up at 3am each morning but I have threaded the chairs for the remaining sections of track that need competing and I’ve laid the last 60’ section on the down main. Not much progress but at least it’s something. Paul

  6. Not much modelling done today but I have continued the track on the up main with another two 60’ lengths built, I’ve also done a video covering the threading of chairs and fixing them into position. Paul
  7. Todays work has seen the continuation of sleepers on the up and down lines heading away from the junction I’ve also cut the retaining wall from slaters 7mm dressed stone, thankfully I found the original sheet used for my last attempt in 4mm. Hopefully a new video tomorrow Paul
  8. A good days modelling has seen all the cosmetic chairs fitted and all turnouts are complete including the tiebars, I can now carry on with the catch point and the remaining straight sections. As a little break from track building I’ve also made a start on the cable trucking. Paul

  13. Good couple of hours today has seen all the check rails fitted, just need to fit slide chairs and cosmetic chairs etc then I can move on to the catch point. Paul
  14. Finally set one modelling time! Managed to finish the trailing cross over so that’s all the point work on this board complete apart from check rails which I started fitting today, so once that is done I’ll start on the catch point. ELJ also seen its first loco movement today so here’s a video of that and a layout update. Paul
  15. Just came across this cracking video which might interest a few people, an old 80’s cab ride along the North Mersey branch, ELJ is at around 7 minutes into the video. Paul
